Chicago Cubs @ LA Dodgers Tips

LA Dodgers to win the NLCS series @ $2.35 - BET NOW

Who are the favourites?

The Chicago Cubs are favourites to win game three at a best price of $1.83, and the bookies also reckon they’ll take Championship, pricing them up at $1.60. They certainly don’t have history on their side however. This is the Cubs' tenth post-season series and they’ve lost all four NL Championship games in their history.

Last season they went down 4-0 to the New York Mets, coincidentally the same side who accounted for their current opponents the LA Dodgers. Los Angeles are 15-23 in playoff games which is hardly a record to write home about, but believe it or not that easily surpasses the Cubs’ post-season winning percentage of just 25%.

You can back the LA Dodgers to win game three at $2.02 or the series at a best price of $2.35. It took a home run by Adrian Gonzalez and near-perfect pitching by Clayton Kershaw of the Dodgers to beat the Cubs 1-0 and tie the series at 1-1. Can they repeat the feat to take a series lead?

What’s your recommended bet for Chicago Cubs @ LA Dodgers?

LA Dodgers to win the NLCS @ $2.35 - BET NOW

I’m going to back the underdogs LA Dodgers to win the game and to take the series. The fact that the Dodgers have now won a road game is huge for their chances. They have home advantage on Tuesday night and with Kershaw pitching so well I don’t think the Cubs will be able to score easily at all.

It’s rare for a team to fail to trouble the scorers in post-season baseball, but Kershaw’s impeccable pitching performance meant the Cubs’ batters failed to score in game two. Word on the street is that Kershaw might have to be rested until NLCS game six, but veteran Dodgers pitcher Rich Hill is more than capable of producing a similarly epic performance should he be called upon.

If the Cubs lose the next three games, all of which are on the road in LA, then it’s game over and they’ll wave goodbye to the World Series for yet another year. Cubs fans need little reminding that it’s been 108 years since they last won the World Series, and I’m backing the Dodger to add another year to that total.
