Cleveland Indians v Toronto Blue Jays Tips

Who are the favourites?

The Blue Jays are favourites to take the ALCS and progress to the World Series at a best price of $1.85. Cleveland went 4-3 this year against the wild-card Blue Jays, who swept AL West Champion Texas to reach the ALCS for the second straight year. You can back the mid-west side at $2.05.

The Indians have not won a playoff series in nine years, when they beat the New York Yankees and then wasted a 3-1 lead over the Red Sox in the ALCS - until yesterday that is. Perhaps they were inspired by the Cleveland Cavaliers NBA title - the city's first professional sports championship since 1964! Whatever it was they weren’t prepared to let their lead slip.

The Blue Jays were exceptional in their 3-0 sweep of the Texans, a side who had won 95 regular season games. Far from expected to win, the Blue Jays produced three mistake-free displays while the Texans choked when it mattered most. If they can keep the momentum rolling they will have too much for Cleveland also.

What’s your recommended betting tip for Cleveland Indians V Toronto Blue Jays?

Total Series Games = Seven @ $2.88 - BET NOW

Sweeps are a rarity in ACLS Championship series and with two such well-matched teams facing off in the 2016 edition I cannot see it happening. I see the opposite, with this series going the distance and being decided in game seven. Back the total games in the series to be the maximum seven at $2.88.

With the first two games of the series being played at Progressive Field, home of the Cleveland Indians, I won’t be surprised to see them take the lead but I’m not backing them to claim the series win. They’ve done well to get this far but for me, this is where the journey ends.

The Blue Jays have a better road record than their opponents with 43 wins and considering they should easily win games, three, four and five at home, all they'll have to do is one once on the road to take the series. Back them at $1.85 to win the series.
