Miami v Brooklyn – (Wed, 01:00, BT Sport)

Recommended Bets:-

Total Points - Over 195 @ 10/11

With Houston self-imploding at the moment, another awful loss against Atlanta with a 20% shot rate in open court in the first half, Miami look long odds-on to secure home field advantage throughout the play-off, something that seemed unlikely at the beginning of February, even though they are only two games clear of the Pacers.

But tonight they face the only team in the NBA that haven’t managed to defeat with the Nets holding a 3-0 series lead over them, the latest defeat in Miami four weeks ago coming by a single point.

In all of those games the Heat have been out scored on the paint and it is something they will have to adjust to if they are to avoid a first season series sweep since for a full 11 years, a quite awesome stat!

With Dwayne Wade an unlikely starter and LeBron still not at his brilliant best, the Heat need to find something from somewhere to pull up a stuttering season by their own high standards. Even though they are 7-3 for their last 10, the defence just hasn’t closed down in the last six weeks and needs to be way tighter than it has been during some of its recent performances against some of the more physical sides, the type of which it tends to suffer against. That said, the Nets record on the road in the last two weeks hasn’t exactly been startling and I fully expect Miami to escape from a four series drubbing by landing the odds.

As for the bet of the game, well how about backing Miami to take a first quarter or half lead, they are much better starters on home court than on the road and we should wrap up a profit by half time. Total points of over 195 @ 10/11 would be the better value wager of the three.
