Who are the favourites?

It’s back to Oakland for game five which means home advantage once for the Warriors, but has the momentum shifted after Cleveland’s 21 point home win on Saturday night? The bookies don’t really think it has, and as such have Golden State priced up at around 2/7 across the board, but TonyBet are offering the best odds at 4/13.

The Cav’s hit an astonishing 24 three-pointers in game four, during which LeBron James passed Magic Johnson for the most triple-doubles in NBA Finals history. LeBron finished the game with 31 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds, giving him the most NBA Finals triple-doubles of all time. His side are a best price of 29/10 to snatch the win and keep the series in the balance.

What’s your recommended NBA Finals bet?

First Quarter To Be Highest Scoring @ 15/8 - BET NOW

Cleveland exploded out of the blocks on Saturday night. They tore into the Warriors, racking up an awesome 49 points in the first quarter alone! They’ll need to be just as dynamic early on in game five if they’re to be in with a chance of extending the series.

But looking back at all four games so far, the first quarter has been the highest scoring period of each game - by some distance. There were 65 points scored in the first quarter of game one, 74 in game two, 71 in game three and a ridiculous 82 in game four’s first period. I see no reason for that trend to change to back the first period to see most points again at 15/8.

Could we see overtime?

Only game three of this series has seen a single digit winning margin, when the Warriors won by 118-113 but overtime could be a factor here as the teams could start to tire at this late stage of the season. The best price on the game being extended is a chunky 12/1, although a few bookmakers are going as short as 8/1! That’s a huge difference that you’d only be able to cash in on if you compared the odds first with Easyodds!
