Fight fans are in for a treat this weekend as over 90,000 spectators will pack inside Wembley Stadium to watch Tyson Fury defend his WBC heavyweight crown against Dillian Whyte.

On the undercard, Northern Ireland's Anthony Cacace will return to the ring for the first time since August 2021 when he faces Jonathan Romero for the vacant WBO international super featherweight title.

Cacace has enjoyed a good run of form of late, winning four fights on the spin at domestic level.

After capturing the British super featherweight belt in August, he is now 1/14 to win Saturday's contest in the capital.

Romero has nearly had double the amount of fights that Cacace has, but he has never fought in the UK and his lack of experience at the highest level means he is a 7/1 outsider, while the draw is available at 33/1.

Cacace has won 19 of his 20 fights since turning professional in 2012.

"The Apache" has only recorded seven knockouts during that time, with his last stoppage win coming back in 2015 against Ronnie Clark.

In recent years, Cacace has shown some impressive boxing skills and Martin Ward remains the only person to beat him. 

Jonathan Romero Record

Romero could be dangerous for the first few rounds, with the Colombian recording 34 victories so far from 35 fights - with 19 of them coming via stoppage.

Spain's Kiko Martinez, who recently lost his world title to Leeds star Josh Warrington, is the only fighter to beat Romero, but he has not fought anyone with the same class since then.

Romero briefly held the IBF super-bantamweight title for six months before Martinez beat him and he will hope a big win this weekend could give him one final path to a second world belt.

As chief support for Fury v Whyte, Cacace and Romero should put on a bruising display in front of the expectant crowd.

Cacace will be desperate to add a former world champion to his CV, but he will need to start fast to try and settle the nerves.

The fact he has not fought for over six months is not ideal, but he should be the fresher of the two fighters on Saturday.

While Romero does have world title experience, that was nearly a decade ago and he could be coming to the UK for one final payday.

Cacace has switched trainers since his last outing and moved out of his comfort zone, and that decision could pay off on Saturday evening as he needs to dig deep to have his hand raised.
