Australia v England

(Sat, 8:20)

England lost out in Hobart in their first match of the Trans-Tasman T20 series and will want to hit back quickly against Australia at the MCG on Saturday.
However, having been powered to victory by Glenn Maxwell on Wednesday, the hosts may be even more of a challenge in Melbourne.

Australia to beat England @ 4/6 - BET NOW

For one thing, the in-form Maxwell will be on home turf at the MCG and could be even more of a danger than he was in Tasmania, where he starred with both bat and ball, meaning the hosts are rightly favoured in the Australia v England betting.
Also, opener Aaron Finch is expected to return after missing out in midweek and he has something of a fondness for the England attack in the shortest form of the game.
A century and two fifties in seven innings show the destructive nature of Finch if he gets in and he will add greatly to the Baggy Greens strength at the top of the order.

Dawid Malan to be top team batsman @ 4/1 - BET NOW

If England are to bounce back from defeat in Hobart, they will need left-hander Dawid Malan to impress once again. The Middlesex man has, without doubt, been the most improved player for England during their mixed tour Down Under.
He impressed in the Ashes Test series despite the 4-0 defeat, was surprisingly overlooked for the ODI action, but marked his return for the T20 clashes with a 50 on Wednesday.
His style his ideally suited to the harder pitches of Australia, but he will need a little more support from his colleagues who all struggled at the Bellerive Oval.
In particular, England will be desperate to see Eoin Morgan play a worthwhile knock, with the skipper having failed to capitalise on some decent starts.

David Willey to be top team bowler @ 7/2 - BET NOW

With the ball, England did well in defence of little more than 150 in Hobart, with left-arm seamer David Willey the standout performer in a strong display. He has the knack of getting the white ball to swing, showcased perfectly in the first over of the Australia innings as he knocked over both David Warner and Chris Lynn.
If he can do that again, then the tourists should be right in the game at the MCG.

England to hit most sixes @ 13/10 - BET NOW

The six-hit count in Hobart read six to five in Australia’s favour, but this viewer expects the power in the England batting line-up to clear the ropes more often at the MCG. Maxwell accounted for four of the Aussie maximums on Wednesday and overall the Three Lions appear to have more power.
That should prove to the case even more so of Jos Buttler gets himself in, as he has blasted 48 sixes in his 56 T20 international appearances to date.
