Two teams looking to get back to winning ways go up against each other on Monday evening, with the Oval Invincibles taking on the Welsh Fire in The Hundred at the Oval.

The Invincibles suffered their first defeat of the tournament last time out, being edged out by the Northern Superchargers, while the Welsh Fire also lost for the first time against the Manchester Originals.

With both teams still firmly in contention for one of the top three spots, which would secure progress into the knockout stage, they will be itching to get the momentum going again and get back on the winning trail.

Oval Invincibles vs Welsh Fire Betting Odds

The Invincibles have only played three matches so far, the same as the Fire, and Monday's hosts are the 8/11 favourites to record their second win of the inaugural The Hundred tournament.

With the Fire's record now standing at two wins and one defeat, the Welsh outfit are 11/10 to get back to winning ways and reignite their quest for first place.

Sam Curran and Rory Burns have both joined up with England's Test squad and are unavailable for the remainder of the tournament for Oval, but pace bowler Saqib Mahmood overcame a late fitness issue to impress last time out and is expected to lead the attack again.

Like the Invincibles, the Fire are without two England Test players, Jonny Bairstow, who scored 128 runs from his two outings, and Ollie Pope, for the remaining matches.

Team of Top Batsman - Welsh Fire - BET NOW

Although Bairstow may be gone for the Fire, there are still some capable batsman in this squad and the Welsh side have excelled with the bat, scoring 488 runs from their three outings.

Without the England batsman at the top of the order, the Fire still managed to make 150 last time and a large part of this was down to Leus du Plooy, who top-scored for his side on his first Hundred innings with 43.

Ben Duckett has also been in good form during this tournament, amassing 126 runs, while Tom Banton has also chipped in with 53 runs and there is enough quality in the squad to suggest the top batsman in this game will come from the Fire.

Most Match Sixes - Oval Invincibles - BET NOW

The Hundred has been set up to promote six-hitting and fans haven't been disappointed so far, with the ball flying over the boundary ropes with regularity to the delight of the crowds.

Du Plooy showcased his raw power when smashing four sixes last time out and he could be a danger again, but the Oval also have their powerful batters and they can clear the rope the most times.

Although admitting he failed to find his rhythm last time out, England star Jason Roy still made 52 and, more importantly, all three of his tournament sixes came in that knock.

Sam Billings also has the ability to muscle the ball in the stands, having done this twice in the tournament, while Tom Curran showed he is no mug with the bat on his latest outing and is another threat.

First Wicket Method - Bowled - BET NOW

With the onus on the batsman to start firing straight away, that can often present opportunities to the bowlers to grab some wickets and there is every chance the first wicket method on Monday can be bowled.

Spin bowling has proved key at times during this tournament and Qais Ahmad has impressed for the Fire, taking four wickets, while Tabraiz Shamsi is the number one ranked T20I bowler and he should come on a lot from his Hundred debut last time out.

If the batsman are throwing their hands at the ball, look for the bowlers to go straight and knock over those stumps early doors.
