Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore could hardly be in more contrasting form ahead of their IPL playoff eliminator on Friday.

The Sunrisers snuck into the playoff picture and ultimately finished third in the regular-season standings thanks to a run of three consecutive victories, including their five-wicket success over RCL last Saturday.

By contrast, that defeat forms part of a four-match losing streak for RCL, who had looked near certainties for a top-two finish until that late season collapse and they only held on to their playoff place by virtue of having a better net run rate than Kolkata Knight Riders.

The winner of Friday's playoff eliminator will go on to face either the Mumbai Indians or the Delhi Capitals for a place in this year's final, while the losers' hopes of claiming the championship will be over for another season.

Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Royal Challengers Bangalore Betting Odds

Hyderabad to win - BET NOW

After a slow start to the season, the Sunrisers appear to have hit their stride at the right time, with victories over RCL, the Indians and the Capitals helping them qualify for the playoffs for the fifth successive year.

It has been a real team effort from Trevor Bayliss' side, with the entire squad contributing, which is perhaps why no Sunrisers player features on the list of leading run scorers or wicket takers in this year's competition.

The same cannot be said for RCL, with Devdutt Padikkal and Virat Kohli both having struck over 450 runs in the IPL this season, although if they keep those two quiet, the Sunrisers will feel they can get the job done.

Indeed, backing the Sunrisers' to continue their hot streak on Friday is available at 10/11, while RCL are on offer at 11/10.

Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Royal Challengers Bangalore Predictions

Warner - Man of the Match - BET NOW

Sunrisers' captain David Warner appears to be enjoying some impressive late season form, with the Australian having produced an unbeaten knock of 85 from just 58 balls against the Indians on Tuesday - his best score of the tournament to date.

The 34-year-old is priced at 7/1 to be named man of the match on Friday and he will need to be on top form if the Sunrisers are to progress.

Manish Pandey and Kane Williamson are also likely to be key figures for the Sunrisers, while wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha has top scored in two of their last three games, including against RCL last Saturday.

A Hundred To Be Scored In The Match - Yes - BET NOW

There have not been many centuries scored in this year's IPL, just five in fact, with two of those coming from the Delhi Capitals' Shikhar Dhawan.

However, there will be more than enough talent on show on Friday, with the aforementioned Warner perhaps looking the most likely candidate for the Sunrisers, as he has previous big-hitting experience on his side, with his total of 126 against the Knight Riders in 2017 still proving to be one of the most impressive in IPL history.

RCL also have plenty of candidates, including captain Kohli, as only Chris Gayle has struck more centuries than the 31-year-old in the history of the IPL.

Backing a century to be scored in Friday's match is available at big odds of 7/1 and, with the firepower on show for both teams, it would be no surprise to see that come in.
