England will look to make it two wins from as many matches when they take on Bangladesh at the T20 World Cup on Wednesday morning.

The two sides will clash at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, and Bangladesh will be hoping to prove a point after a lacklustre display against Sri Lanka on Sunday afternoon.

Sri Lanka won by five wickets in Sharjah, with Bangladesh failing to get the job done despite scoring 171 runs themselves. England's batting attack did not get the chance to impress throughout their batting line-up, with West Indies dismissed for 55 in their opening match.

Eoin Morgan's side dismantled the Windies in Dubai, and they are priced at 1/4 to follow up and beat Bangladesh. Morgan described his team's display in their Super 12s opener as "as good as it gets", but they cannot afford to get complacent against Bangladesh.

Mahmudullah and co are 6th in the ICC rankings, and they are 3/1 to get the better of England on Wednesday, and they will have a point to prove, having come through qualifying to reach this stage of the competition.

England vs Bangladesh Team News

England bowler Mark Wood missed their opening win over West Indies with a niggle, and it appears that he is still struggling to be fit for Wednesday's encounter.

If he is fit to feature, England must decide whether to drop one of their bowling attack, but after dismissing the Windies for 55, that looks highly unlikely. Dropping a batsman for Wood might make more sense, but Wood may need to stay patient for now.

Bangladesh are without Tamim Iqbal for the entire tournament, meaning Mohammad Naim continues to open the batting.

History will be made on Wednesday, with the two teams never meeting previously in a T20 match. They have met on several occasions in Test cricket as well as in one-day internationals.

England vs Bangladesh Prediction

Highest opening partnership - England - BET NOW

England's bowlers caused plenty of damage last week and, while Bangladesh may provide sterner opposition, there's no doubt that Adil Rashid, Moeen Ali and Tymal Mills will be full of confidence.

Chris Gayle was West Indies' only batsman to reach double figures, while England's response did not need to be very strong. Jos Buttler top-scored with 24, and even though Bangladesh's opening duo of Liton Das and Naim hit 78 runs together, they did not face a team as dangerous as England when they played Sri Lanka.

England's bowlers look to be at the top of their game, and they could tear through the Bangladesh attack, allowing England's opening duo to hit the highest partnership.

Rashid finished with figures of 4-2, and he may never repeat that for the rest of his career. England typically use Rashid as their main threat, but the leg-spinner did not come into the attack against West Indies until the 11th over.

When he did, he bowled Andre Russell with his first ball before dismissing the tail without breaking a sweat. If Rashid is used in a similar fashion, he could repeat his heroics as he tries to put pressure on a Bangladesh tail that needs to step up after their opening defeat to Sri Lanka.
