The Hundred, English cricket's new competition, starts on July 21 and eight city-based franchises will be vying for the title in the men's and women's tournament.
Each batting side faces 100 balls per innings, making The Hundred slightly shorter than a Twenty20 match, and bowlers are able to send down five or ten consecutive deliveries before a change of end.
The eight teams face each other in a round-robin league stage with the top three qualifying for the playoffs. The top team in the league goes straight into the final where they will take on the winners of the semi-final between the second and third-placed sides.
The Hundred Betting Odds
The inaugural season of the men's competition is an unknown quantity for bookmakers and the eight teams are all priced up between 5/1 and 7/1 to lift the trophy.
Southern Brave, based at The Rose Bowl in Hampshire, are narrow favourites at 5/1 ahead of 7/1 shots Trent Rockets, whose side features several of Nottinghamshire's 2020 T20 Blast-winning team, including Alex Hales and Samit Patel.
Manchester Originals and Southern Brave are 4/1 joint-favourites for the women's title and the Cardiff-based Welsh Fire are 8/1 outsiders.
The Hundred Teams
As well as the teams mentioned above, The Hundred has representatives from Leeds (Northern Superchargers), Birmingham (Birmingham Phoenix) and London, with Oval Invincibles based at The Oval and London Spirit playing their home games at Lord's.
Each team has a squad of 15 players, three of whom can be overseas stars, and the men's franchises have also drafted two 'local icon' players such as Hales for Trent Rockets and Surrey's Jason Roy and Tom Curran for Oval Invincibles.
The Hundred Players
There has been some inevitable reshuffling of the packs since The Hundred draft due to injuries and the unavailability of overseas players but plenty of star names will be on show at the tournament.
Ben Stokes is joined by South Africa's Faf du Plessis and Australia's Chris Lynn in a power-packed Northern Superchargers batting unit and Manchester Originals have West Indies all-rounder Carlos Brathwaite, who hit Stokes for four consecutive sixes to win the World T20 final in 2016.
Andre Russell and Kieron Pollard, two more explosive all-rounders from the Caribbean, are due to join up with Southern Brave and Welsh Fire, respectively.
And the Brave's batting department has also been bolstered by the signings of South Africa's Quinton de Kock and in-form New Zealander Devon Conway.
England women's captain Heather Knight leads a London Spirit side including ace opener Tammy Beaumont while the brilliant young India batter Shafali Verma will turn out for Birmingham Phoenix.
The Hundred Where to Watch On TV
There is live coverage of every men's and women's game on Sky Sports, while 18 fixtures will also be available to watch on the BBC.

Manchester Originals look the team to beat in the women's competition.
