Can Leicester get their first win under Rodgers?

The Premier League is building towards the business end of the season with plenty of issues in the top flight still unresolved.

Dan McCarthy gives his Premier League tips on three of Saturday’s games, where £10 stake could earn just over £102.

Cardiff v West Ham

(Sat 3pm)

West Ham to win @ 6/5 – BET NOW

West Ham have been one of the most up and down teams in the Premier League this season, often playing excellent free-flowing football one week to being completely dominated the next.

The Hammers’ recent form reflects this slightly, with two wins, two draws, and a loss in their last five fixtures.

However, they won well at home to another in form team in Newcastle last week as goals from Declan Rice and Mark Noble were enough to see off Rafa Benitez’s side.

The Hammers are starting to welcome back key players from injury including Manuel Lanzini and his presence combined with all their attacking talent and Rice holding in midfield mean they are a fairly dangerous prospect at the moment.

Cardiff have the air of a side that are just running out of steam at the most crucial time for the season as they have lost their last three games, and, worryingly, have let in 10 goals in that time.

Manuel Pellegrini’s men should be too strong for the strugglers.

Newcastle v Everton

(Sat 3pm)

Newcastle to win @ 15/8 – BET NOW

Like West Ham, Newcastle’s form has picked up at the right time, particularly at St James’ Park.
The Magpies have triumphed in their last four games at home, only conceding one goal in that spell.

Benitez’s men have been buoyed by the addition of Miguel Almiron, who has slotted into the side very nicely and has done everything right bar scoring a goal at the moment.

The only dampener has been the news that Sean Longstaff will miss the rest of the season due to a knee injury after breaking into the first team since the turn of the year.

Everton will have been encouraged by defensive resilience in the goalless Merseyside derby on Sunday, but still look lightweight up front.

Their 3-0 win at Cardiff last Tuesday is the only time they’ve scored in the last four games, so Newcastle look good to extend their good home form.

Leicester v Fulham

(Sat 3pm)

Leicester to win @ 8/13 – BET NOW

Brendan Rodgers got off to a disappointing start in his first game in charge of the Foxes after going down to a 2-1 loss at former club Watford.

Leicester were in the game a long time before Andre Gray’s injury time winner denied Rodgers a point, but did show flashes of quality and a playing style that the Northern Irishman wants to adopt.

Fulham looked more solid in Scott Parker’s first game as caretaker boss against Chelsea and were denied a late equaliser by an offside flag against Ryan Sessegnon.

However, they are still a poor outfit defensively and have now conceded 65 goals in 29 Premier League games.

While Leicester have only won one of their last eight games, Rodgers’ side should be able to get a victory against the Cottagers.
