Jose Mourinho has seen his Roma side return to form over recent weeks and confidence should be high heading into their trip to Bologna on Wednesday.

The wheels appeared to be coming off for the 'Special One' at the start of the month, with defeat at Venezia on November 7 leaving Roma having won just once in seven matches across all competitions.

However, since that defeat in Venice, I Giallorossi have won three matches on the spin, although they are likely to face a step up in quality on Wednesday against a Bologna side that are also in form, registering three wins from their last four fixtures.

Bologna vs Roma Betting Odds

Roma have collected four more points than Bologna so far this season, and that coupled with their recent winning run has seen Mourinho's side installed at 13/10 to leave the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara with a victory.

Bologna have won three of their last four, but the sole defeat during that sequence was in their most recent home fixture - a 1-0 reverse at the hands of Venezia.

Sinisa Mihajlovic's side have also lost each of their last two home meetings with Roma, but they can be backed at 85/40 to claim the three points on Wednesday, while the draw is available at 13/5.

Bologna vs Roma Team News

Bologna are not expected to make too many changes from the side that won 1-0 at Spezia on Sunday, with Mihajlovic likely to stick with Aaron Hickey, Gary Medel and Nicolas Dominguez, who are all just one yellow card away from picking up a suspension.

More alterations are expected in the Roma camp, including an enforced one, with captain Lorenzo Pellegrini set to miss out after picking up a thigh injury in the weekend win over Torino.

Mourinho does have a like for like replacement for his skipper in Jordan Veretout, who returns from a ban for this match, while Matias Vina, Carles Perez and Eldor Shomurodov are all pushing for starts.

Bologna vs Roma H2H

Roma have won four of the last five meetings between the two sides, including claiming an emphatic 5-1 victory on their last visit to the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara in December 2020.

Bologna have struggled for victories against Roma, particularly on home soil, as they have won just one of their last 12 encounters with I Giallorossi on their own patch - a sequence that dates back to September 2004.

Bologna vs Roma Prediction

Roma to Win - BET NOW

Roma appear to be rediscovering their early season form following their run of three successive victories, two of which have come in the league.

Mourinho's men have also won two of their last three on the road and they will have last season's 5-1 thrashing of Bologna still fresh in their minds.

Bologna have been picking up wins on a regular basis of late, but none of those have come against sides in the top half of the division and they showed their vulnerability during their recent home defeat to Venezia.

Tammy Abraham Anytime Scorer - BET NOW

Roma forward Tammy Abraham has returned to goalscoring form over recent weeks, netting four in his last four appearances for I Giallorossi, while he was also on the scoresheet for England during this month's international break.

That has taken the 24-year-old's tally to 10 goals in 24 appearances for club and country this season, with half of those strikes coming in November.

Abraham grabbed the winner against Torino last time out and it would be no surprise to see him have a big say on the outcome of this match as well.
