We look at the Championship odds as Sheffield United look to come out on top in Monday's Steel City derby at Sheffield Wednesday to keep their automatic promotion push on track.
Draw @ 5/2 - BET NOW
The natural instinct looking at this fixture would be to back Chris Wilder's Blades to emulate last season's impressive win at Hillsborough when they romped to a 4-2 success to mark their return to the Championship in style.
They have gone from strength-to-strength since and are on course to go back up to the Premier League in only their second season of Championship football having sealed promotion from League One in May 2017.
The Blades highlighted their promotion credentials with a 1-0 win at fourth-placed West Brom last time out and have lost just once in their last 11 outings, including eight wins.
However, there is something of a resurgence going on at Wednesday since Jos Luhukay was axed before Christmas, with the Owls bringing in Steve Bruce to replace him.
Steve Agnew initially took charge until Bruce could step in and between them they have guided the club to a seven-match unbeaten run.
Their home form has improved significantly too with 14 points accrued from a possible 18 which suggests that United will face a tough examination from their neighbours on Monday.
The Owls have only lost only once in four derby games since 2006 and have picked up four draws in seven games against top-six sides so far this term and should have enough to hold the Blades.
Under 2.5 goals @ 5/6 – BET NOW
The Championship Tips suggest a low-scoring encounter between these two rivals, with last season's six-goal thriller at Hillsborough a break from the norm as the sides have since played out successive goalless draws at Bramall Lane.
The previous meeting between the sides on Wednesday soil, before last season, ended with a 1-0 win for the hosts.
Under new management, the Owls have managed seven shut-outs and have conceded more than one goal just twice.
The Blades do carry a strong goal threat and have they scored twice or more in 10 away games so far, but a 1-1 draw at 6/1 looks tempting.
Billy Sharp Anytime Goalscorer @ 6/4 - BET NOW
The 33-year-old lifelong Blades fan is enjoying his best-ever season at Championship level with 22 goals in 29 games to date.
Sharp fired 30 League One goals to help get the side promoted from League One but followed that up with just 13 in the league last term.
However, Sharp has found his shooting boots this season, and his amazing record of never scoring a goal in five Steel City derby matches will be one monkey he will want off his back as soon as possible.
He spurned a last-gasp opportunity to win the game at Bramall Lane back in November, but it's worth considering Sharp to get on the scoresheet this time around.
