The Championship season gets underway in two weeks for what looks set to be a competitive campaign, with several big clubs in the second tier. There are many candidates for promotion and we take a look at where the value lies with these Championship Tips.

Swansea City to be promoted @ 4/1 - BET NOW

Swansea endured a tough season in the Premier League and, despite a mid-season resurgence after Carlos Carvalhal replaced Paul Clement as manager, they ultimately came up short and finished 18th. Five straight defeats cost them their place in the top flight and the task now will be to bounce back at the first attempt.

The Championship is notoriously difficult to get out of but, with Graham Potter pulled out of Swedish football and installed as manager, there is renewed optimism that it might be a quick return to the promised land for the Liberty Stadium faithful. Potter is untried in the English game and may take time to get used to the frenetic pace of the Championship, while keeping striker Wilfried Bony at the club could be key.

Joel Asoro has arrived from Sunderland and there are sure to be more new faces but the Swans will need a fast start to get the fans behind the new regime. It was a shock to see the Welsh outfit suffer relegation last term and I feel they have what it takes to secure promotion in 2018-19 so the 4/1 should be snapped up, while their outright Championship Odds are 10/1.

Top Six Finish

Leeds to finish in top six @ 13/8 - BET NOW

Like Swansea, Leeds will begin the new season with a new boss but unlike Potter, Marcelo Bielsa is a vastly experienced and well-travelled coach. The 62-year-old has enjoyed spells in charge of, among others, Athletic Bilbao, Marseille, Lazio and Lille so will not be fazed by life in the Championship.

He has enjoyed some healthy win percentages at many of his previous clubs and the Whites will hope to see more of the same. The Elland Road outfit have been absent from the Premier League for far too long and the club has been in turmoil, with ownership issues seemingly holding them back, but there is now an excellent opportunity to make a run for the play-offs.

It may well be that loan deals are the best the South American tactician can hope for and a couple of Chelsea players have already been recruited. They will need some more fresh faces before the big kick-off but will surely be there or thereabouts next May.

To Be Relegated

Bolton to be relegated at 5/4 - BET NOW

Wanderers kept themselves afloat by the skin of their teeth, finishing just outside the relegation places last term, but it will be just a tough for Phil Parkinson to repeat the feat this time around. The days of attracting top names to the Macron Stadium are long gone and free transfers and loans are the best fans can hope for.

There has been plenty of summer recruitment but does the manager have the quality to compete in the division? Championship Betting on the Trotters to go down will be popular after last season and they might just slip away this time.
