Crystal Palace v Southampton TipsJeff Bachrach - 08:09, 13th September 2017
Crystal Palace have been shocking disappointing so far this season, but many were still aggrieved by the sacking of Frank De Boer this week. Luckily for them Southampton haven’t fared that much better after losing 2-0 at home to Watford on Saturday. Our tipster Jake Johns steps in for a holidaying Ross Casey for this lunchtime fixture on Saturday.

Who are the favourites?
Even with the home advantage Crystal Palace are slight underdogs this Saturday coming in at a best price of 2/1 to win the game, with Southampton priced up at 31/20.
You can’t be confident backing Palace at any price, especially on as short as 2/1, even when playing at Selhurst Park. They will be without Conor Wickham and by far their best player Wilfred Zaha, so I can envisage them struggling again.
Southampton manged to pick up a win at home to West Ham, but the Hammers were at their lowest at that point so that’s nothing to shout home about. They’ve only played one game away from home this season which culminated in a 0-0 draw at Huddersfield.
Overall, on the face of it goals could be at a premium on Saturday lunchtime…
What’s your recommended Crystal Palace v Southampton betting tip?
My recommended Crystal Palace v Southampton tip is to back ‘Both Teams To Score - NO’ at a best price of evens using our Easyodds odds comparison grid.
Both of these sides have been incredibly disappointing so far this season and both put in the most underwhelming performances from last weekend with Crystal Palace losing to Burnley and Southampton going down 2-0 at home to the Hornets.
Crystal Palace just cannot score goals – literally, they have zero goals from four games so far. Southampton aren’t faring much better either with only two attempts hitting the back of the net, and they came in one game… against West Ham!

Why use Easyodds to bet on this match?
I’m not necessarily sure that punters realise the importance of our odds comparison service…
For example if you fancy Steven Davis to score by taking advantage of the poor defensive ability of Crystal Palace so far this season, the Saints captain is a best price 13/2. There’s a remarkable difference in his price when you consider his worst price is 9/2. Why wouldn’t you use our site to peruse the anytime goalscorer market and ensure you get the best possible odds?
