With plenty of domestic action all over Europe other coming days, there’s slim picks for tonight in the football betting markets but Jonathon Hague has looked to some different countries today for football betting tips.
Rosenborg to Win To Nil @ 23/10 – BET NOW
The Norwegian football season is only five matches deep, but the most historic club in the country, Rosenborg, has got off to a torrid start. It was only last week they gained their first win in the campaign, a 4-0 thrashing of current league leaders Molde and will hopefully give the current Eliteserien Champions a chance to kick on for the rest of the season now.
Their opponents today are newly promoted Bodo/Glimt who are finding their return to the top flight a difficult prospect. Despite winning their first match of the new season, the Northern Norwegian side have lost three on the bounce, sitting second from bottom and are without a goal since the opening weekend.
Here, Rosenborg are clearly the favourites priced at 4/5 in the football odds and I expect the current Champions to start their match up the table from today. Their 4-0 win at home to Molde will be a message to all the side in the division and with the lack of goals currently in this Bodo side, I’m backing Rosenborg to win to nil here.
West Ham to Win @ Evens – BET NOW
In tonight’s Premier League fixture, relegation threatened Stoke take on West Ham at the London Stadium. West Ham have managed to dig themselves out of what many believed would be the start of the club's downfall as protests, pitch invasions and threats to the board appeared to be the club hitting the self-destruct button. However, a string of strong performances against Southampton and Chelsea have eased tensions and allowed the Hammers to pull away from the drop-zone and a win in tonight’s game will undoubtedly see them save for another season.
Stoke have won once in 14 matches, Saido Berahino has been sent to play with the Under 23’s, on-loan striker Jese has gone AWOL, Ibrahim Afellay has been banished from the club due to being a disruptive influence. Let’s face it, Stoke are a mess and six points from safety means they are close to playing their games in the Championship next season.
Here the momentum is in favour of West Ham who despite not being consistent have much more quality available than Stoke who are heavily reliant on star men Xhedrian Shaquiri and Joe Allen finding that creative spark for the Potters. David Moyes has lost just one of his last ten home Premier League ties on a Monday, winning five of these games and despite West Ham not completing the Premier League double over the Potters since the 2008/09 season, I reckon West Ham will finally get their double over Stoke tonight.
Draw @ 23/10 – BET NOW
Mainz and Freiburg go into this game winless in six games a piece with plenty of injuries and suspensions to make game a scrappy affair. With just two goals a piece during this period, it’s fair to say that this game will be tight and far from memorable.
Both sides average about 1 goal a game and both see Both Teams to Score in 33% of all games this season so in terms of goal scoring and defensive output they are inseparable. Mainz also go into this game without losing a top-flight home game against Freiburg.
A draw is the best-priced market for this game as despite both team struggling and needing a win, the symmetrical records and the possibility of losing this game being too much of a gamble this late into the season when both teams are relegation threatened, I believe not much will separate either side here.
