Back with another football betting triple, Jonathon Hague is looking to start the week with a bang with three picks from around Europe today with one pick from La Liga, one from the German Bundesliga and another from the Spanish Second Division

Villarreal v Athletic Bilbao

(Mon, 20:00)

Villarreal to Win to Nil @ 15/8 – BET NOW

Athletic Bilbao are on course for their worst La Liga finish this millennium after a lacklustre campaign that has seen them struggle for goals and also form away from the fortress they’ve made the San Memés in recent years. Having only won 8 games this season, the Basques have not lit up the pitch like they have in previous campaigns and 37-year-old Aritz Aduriz can’t be bailing out the team any more.

Villarreal haven’t had the strongest season which is probably more of a testament to some of the middle table sides stepping up and contesting for the European spots. Currently two points behind surprise package, Real Betis, The Yellow Submarine will need to win this one to ensure they are guaranteed a Europa League slot with Sevilla, Girona and Celta Vigo only a few points behind.

With a 55% win rate at home in all competitions the Yellow Submarine looks the obvious pick here and with 45% of those wins coming in to nil, I reckon a Villarreal Win to Nil is the pick to go for.

RB Leipzig v Bayer Leverkusen

(Mon, 19:30)

RB Leipzig to Win and Both Teams To Score @ 31/10 – BET NOW

Earlier this season this game finished 2-2 but based on current form I reckon Leipzig have the upper-hand on this tie. A 2-1 win over Bayern in recent weeks and unbeaten in the league for four games, plus the upper-hand in their Europa League quarter final against Marseille – the momentum is with the Red Bulls here.

Leverkusen haven’t scored in the past two games and lost to strugglers, Cologne two games ago. Bayer have also never beaten RB Leipzig in the three games they have played against each other losing two of them. The home advantage here might just add another loss on the board for Heiko Herrlich’s side as they face a side peaking at the right moment of the season.

While form is on Red Bull’s side, the Eastern German side has seen both teams to score in the vast majority of their games this campaign as their open style of play and while they concede a lot of goals, they are averaging almost two goals a game in the league which is why I reckon you should back a BTTS with a Leipzig win tonight.

Huesca v Albacete

(Mon, 19:00)

Huesca To Win To Nil @ 1710 – BET NOW

Looking at the table for the Segunda División, you would instantly put your money on Huesca winning this one. However, Huesca haven’t won in nearly two months and thrown away a strong position at the top of the table and now in third three points behind Sporting Gijón and Rayo Vallecano.

This run of bad form has coincided with games against most of the top six which has seen them lose the likes of Vallecano, Zaragoza, Gijón and draw with Cádiz.

Albacete haven’t been in great form in the past couple of months either but have been able to get key results against relegation threatened sides to at least keep them in touching distance with the top end of the table.

Earlier in the season, this game finished 0-0, but with Huesca’s home advantage I can see the Argon side turning their fortunes around tonight and putting pressure on the top two by joining them in 61 points.
