The Seahawks slipped up badly last week against an average San Diego outfit but they’ll be victorious come Sunday evening local time according to Anthony Dunkley. Denver, despite being at home, have it all to do...

Denver v Seattle (Sunday, 21:25, Sky Sports 1)

Anthony Dunkley’s Verdict: SEATTLE -4.5 HANDICAP @ 10/11 – BET NOW

If Denver had covered the Over last game I’d be going into this game supremely confident as both a fan and a tipster. But alas, they put up another shaky performance against a Kansas City side they should have demolished last weekend. The final score of 24-17 once again showed alarming gaps in the defense that hasn’t gelled as quickly as expected.

Let’s also not forget the spanking that Denver got in the Super Bowl against Seattle back in February. A game that will go down as one of the most one sided finals of recent history, Seattle showed they don’t need home advantage to beat anyone and I think this will be the case again.

The Seahawks defense, for the first time since their triumph, has something to prove after a dismal show at San Diego last weekend. A disastrous second quarter where they were outscored by a touchdown and a field goal summed up the whole game and they never got back into it. No score in the fourth quarter was embarrassing as they slumped to 1-1 for the season.

They’re now going to be angry, alert and better for that loss. Not to mention that they have to prove they are on a par with themselves against the same team they beat comfortably last time. Seattle should win this if back on song and I’m willing to wager they’ll beat them by at least a touchdown.

Denver v Seattle Head To Heads: The last time these two did battle was in the Super Bowl where Seattle smashed Denver 43-8. Prior to that, Denver were 6-4.

NFL Betting: Defending champions Seattle are a best price 9/2 to retain their Super Bowl this season having been 6/1 at the curtain raiser two weeks ago. However Denver, second favourites initially, are as low as 7/2 to banish their Super Bowl 2014 woes and are many people’s idea of the winner.
