Erling Haaland remains one of the hottest properties in Europe after enjoying a fine season with Borussia Dortmund and it's no surprise to see him linked with several clubs across the continent this summer.

Haaland burst on to the scene in the first half of 2019-20 with Red Bull Salzburg, scoring 28 goals in 22 games across all competitions, and he was snapped up by Dortmund midway through the campaign.

Manchester United and Juventus had been heavily linked with his services but the hitman opted to join Dortmund for a fee in the region of 20million euros.

He settled immediately in the Bundesliga and ended his debut campaign with 16 goals in 18 outings, before backing that up with a further 41 in as many games last season.

Unsurprisingly, Haaland has been linked with Europe's elite this summer, including Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City, but will the Dortmund striker head to the Premier League?

Erling Haaland Transfer News

There's always one player that seems to dominate the headlines during a summer transfer window and Haaland appears to be that man this time around.

Dortmund hold all the cards with their star man tied down to a contract through to June of 2024. However, they risk losing him for a cut-price fee next summer.

The Bundesliga side are thought to be currently demanding in the region of £150million for the Norwegian ace but a clause in his contract means he will be available for just £65million at the end of next term.

His eye-watering price-tag doesn't appear to have put potential suitors off, though, with Juventus, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City counted among his admirers.

The latest reports suggest Chelsea are favourites to land Haaland after owner Roman Abramovich gave the green light to move for him.

There are rumours of a potential cash-plus-player offer with either Timo Werner or Tammy Abraham to be included as part of the bid.

City, meanwhile, are seeking a new frontman to replace club-record goalscorer Sergio Aguero, who departed at the end of 2020-21.

Pep Guardiola is understood to be assessing a number of options to replace the Argentinian but Tottenham's Harry Kane is their preferred target.

Liverpool's interest in Haaland stretches back a couple of seasons after he netted in Salzburg's 4-3 loss at Anfield in a Champions League clash.

After failing to defend the Premier League title, Jurgen Klopp is on the lookout for new recruits, although with Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane expected to once again be his trusted front three in the upcoming campaign, a switch to Merseyside for Haaland looks highly unlikely.

Chelsea to sign Haaland - BET NOW

Borussia Dortmund finished third in the Bundesliga last season and they'll need to keep hold of Haaland if they are to edge further up the standings to challenge champions Bayern Munich.

New boss Marco Rose has a job on his hands in trying to retain Haaland's services and he is priced at 33/100 to be part of the squad come September 3rd, a price that's reflective of the fact BVB have made it known they will do all they can to keep him - this summer at least.

As mentioned earlier, Chelsea are thought to be leading the race to lure him away from the Westfalenstadion, though, and he is 2/1 to be turning out at Stamford Bridge come September.

Manchester City, who is father Alfie Inge Haaland played for, are next in the pecking order and can be backed at 3/1 to land Haaland Jnr, while cross-city rivals Manchester United are 14/1.

Real Madrid are priced at 5/1 with both Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona at 20/1 and Juventus at 33/1.

Erling Haaland Stats

Haaland's goalscoring record is nothing short of remarkable and he's proven with each step up in level that he is more than capable of sustaining it.

The 20-year-old's career started in his homeland of Norway, where he netted 18 in 14 appearances for Bryne 2, before hitting 16 goals in 30 outings for Molde.

He scored 29 goals in 27 appearances for Red Bull Salzburg, including eight in European competition.

In just half a season at Dortmund, Haaland already boasted 16 goals in 18 appearances and he struck 41 times in as many games last term to underline his deadliness in the final third.
