Manchester United take on Chelsea in the FA Cup final on Saturday in what may be Antonio Conte’s last game in charge of the Blues. He will want to go out on a high and here we look at some betting angles with these FA Cup tips.
Manchester United to win @ 17/10 - BET NOW
It has been an incredible fall from grace for Conte, who was a breath of fresh air for the Premier League and guided the west Londoners to league glory in his first season, as they will not even play in the Champions League next term.
A fifth-place finish and rumours of unrest will probably signal the end of his Stamford Bridge reign but he would love to go out with a bang, with FA Cup odds on Chelsea winning priced at 2/1.
However, I cannot see it happening as Chelsea have stuttered through the campaign, with their big players never doing enough to match the top four stride for stride.
They were awful against Newcastle on Sunday and, even if a few stars might have had one eye on Wembley, it was a worrying display for the Italian tactician.
He has cut a forlorn figure on the touchline at times - but so has counterpart Jose Mourinho. Their spat from earlier this season now seems over but they will never be close friends and the Portuguese will want to get one over on the man who succeeded him on a permanent basis at Chelsea.
United have not been great this season but have done enough to win games and they should edge this one.
Under 1.5 goals @ 7/4 - BET NOW
United have been tedious to watch at times, with neighbours Manchester City scoring almost 40 more league goals and it would be no surprise if just one goal settled this match.
United conceded only 28 top-flight goals and Mourinho has turned a club that traditionally liked to play an attacking brand of football into a defensive-minded one but it might serve him well in north London this weekend.
They do have the likes of Marcus Rashford, Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez who can get them a goal and then it will be over to the rearguard to do their bit and FA Cup betting should reflect that.
Draw / Man United (Half Time / Full Time) @ 5/1 - BET NOW
To say that Mourinho is a cautious manager these days would be an understatement and he will not want to give the opposition a sniff early on in such a prestigious game.
It is his one chance to claim silverware before the inevitable summer recruitment drive and I can see the first half being like a game of chess.
The introduction of a few key players later on might open some doors and it would be no surprise to see the Red Devils nick a goal late on and go on to lift the trophy.
It has not been a vintage campaign by either of these sides but I feel United will shade it by the smallest of margins.
