Make no bones about it, Liverpool are bad right now. The Reds are coming off of another loss in the Premier League, a fifth in their last sixth Premier League matches, to Chelsea, 1-0, on Thursday night. While the Reds lost by a mere 1-0 scoreline, the attack once again failed to get in gear. Jurgen Klopp’s team have scored just four times in their last six games and are second from the bottom in the current Premier League form table.

Fulham are coming off of a 1-0 loss against Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday night. The Cottagers had their chances but failed to take them at home. Fulham are just three points back of 17th-placed Newcastle United. With the Magpies playing a few hours ahead of Fulham, Scott Parker’s team will have plenty of pressure on their shoulders at Anfield.

The Cottagers snatched a 1-1 draw at home versus Liverpool in December. Fulham were very good on the day at Craven Cottage and Bobby Reid opened the scoring against a Liverpool side that were all over the place. A 79th-minute penalty from Mohamed Salah gave Liverpool a share of the spoils.

Liverpool are now four points behind fourth-placed Chelsea in the chase for Champions League qualification. The Reds have a massive week and will play RB Leipzig in the Champions League last 16 second leg on Wednesday night.

Liverpool vs Fulham Betting Odds

Despite Liverpool playing so poorly in the Premier League, losers of five straight home matches, they go into the game as favourite to claim a victory at odds of 4/11. The Reds are second from bottom in the current Premier League form table with a mere three points from 18 possible.

Liverpool are in relegation form. So, what is wrong? The defence continues to get the blame, but they are only conceding one or two goals a game while failing to score. The front three is the issue and Thiago Alcantara is not the offensive, defence-cutting passer he was said to be.

Fulham should fancy winning at Anfield on Sunday. The Cottagers are fighting for their lives in the Premier League. Just three points have them off of relegation survival. A shock win at Anfield and Newcastle United loss would send Fulham out of the relegation zone.

Parker’s team are at odds of 9/1 to win at Anfield and send Liverpool to a sixth straight loss at home. Fulham took nine points from their last 18 on offer in the league. Their loss to Tottenham Hotspur finished a strong run of form. Fulham’s away play has been good over the course of their last six games. They are unbeaten in six straight away matches with five finishing in draws and one in a victory. The teams are at odds of 9/2 to finish in a draw.

Liverpool vs Fulham Team News

Klopp got great news on Thursday night as the team tallied another loss. Winger Diogo Jota, Liverpool’s best attacking player in the autumn, returned from a knee injury versus Chelsea. He played well, but struggled to make an impact due to seeing little of the ball. Salah was taken off in favour of Jota after another dull performance. It wouldn’t be a surprise if Liverpool cash-in on one or two of their top three attackers.

Klopp is without the likes of Jordan Henderson, Joel Matip, Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, and goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher. Naby Keita recently returned to the team and could start in midfield.

Parker has just two names on his injury list heading into the matchday 28 match. Midfielder Tom Cairney remains out of action with a knee injury. Marek Rodak is likely to miss the game due to a hand/wrist injury.

Fulham are not bad at the moment. They got off to a poor start at the beginning of the campaign. Now, they are playing catch-up from that bad beginning.

Liverpool vs Fulham Prediction

Both teams to score: NO @ 10/11 - BET NOW

Liverpool are playing horribly in attack. Sadio Mane is in the worst form of his Liverpool career, Roberto Firmino cannot create a goalscoring chance, and Mohamed Salah can only seem to score a spectacular goal or from the penalty spot. The team’s defence is good enough to keep out Fulham – at least on paper. Fulham scored just four goals in their last six games while Liverpool tallied a mere four strikes.

Under 2.5 goals scored @ 13/10 - BET NOW

Based on both clubs’ form over the course of their last six games, Sunday’s game should be a low-scoring affair. Liverpool’s defence should play well enough to limit Fulham’s chances. The big question is: Will Liverpool score a goal? Three of Liverpool’s last six matches in the league ended with them failing to score a goal. Six straight Fulham Premier League matches ended with under 2.5 goals tallied.

Diogo Jota to score anytime @ 6/5 - BET NOW

Liverpool desperately need Diogo Jota to hit the heights he did earlier this season. The knee injury he suffered took away Liverpool’s most in-form forward and took the pressure off of the trio of Mane, Salah, and Firmino to produce goals. Liverpool are struggling in front of goal and not having Jota – or loaning out Takumi Minamino – hasn't helped

Jota averages a goal in the Premier League every other game. He has tallied five goals in 10 matches in the Premier League and four in six Champions League games. Overall, he has scored nine goals in 18 matches. He averages a league goal every 106 minutes this season.

If Jota can get back in form, Liverpool can stop this terrible run of form. However, the problems are far deeper than just getting Jota back in form. The midfield is not creating goals (Thiago) and Liverpool have no plan B. Based on form, Fulham could get a result at Anfield. However, Liverpool should end their five-match losing streak at home and get a point at the very least.
