With the Premier League currently shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic, it is good time to look back at some of the best goals this season.
Spurs were already 2-0 up when Son picked up the ball on the edge of his area at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The South Korea ace sprinted upfield, controlling the ball with ease as Clarets defenders tried in vain to tackle him. He finally got through on goal and slotted the ball past Nick Pope, admitting afterwards that it was "the best goal in my life". Jose Mourinho's side went on to win 5-0 and there were plenty of top-class goals, but none to match the sheer individual brilliance of the former Bayer Leverkusen man.
This game looked a mismatch on paper but Jahanbaksh's spectacular overhead kick earned Graham Potter's men a vital point in a 1-1 draw at the Amex Stadium. Cesar Azpilicueta gave the Blues the lead in just the 10th minute, but six minutes from time the Iranian substitute found a way past Kepa Arrizabalaga. Sent on in the 66th minute, he had his back to goal but swivelled to thrash the ball home, saying afterwards "I had a feeling I could have an impact".
Vardy has scored many memorable goals in his Foxes career and maybe more spectacular ones than this strike. However, his precision was superb when latching on to Ben Chilwell's through ball. The former England striker took a touch and then gave Cherries keeper Aaron Ramsdale no chance with a perfect lob over his head. Leicester won the match 3-1, with Vardy bagging himself a brace.
City may have won this game 3-1 but it was Wilson's free-kick in first-half stoppage time that caught the eye. Eddie's Howe's men were generally outplayed and the result never seemed in doubt after Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling had bagged before the break. However, Wilson provided the hosts some hope. The 22-year-old Wales international's sweet strike from 25 yards flew into the top corner and gave the home fans something to cheer about.
This may not have been as aesthetically pleasing as some this campaign but was no less spectacular for its significance. Given no chance to down the unbeaten Reds, the relegation-haunted Hornets secured a 3-0 triumph, with Ismaila Sarr scoring twice in one of the biggest shocks of the season. Deeney put the icing on the cake by curling home from the edge of the box - a statement by the Vicarage Road skipper that they were not going to give up on the season without a fight.
