Saturday Football Accumulator Prediction

We hope this will come off this weekend as several of the top leagues around Europe kick off. Our betting ACCA for Tuesday comes in at odds of 18.32/1. A £10 punt on this ACCA would land you £193.29. That’s a £183.29 profit on a £10 bet. Good luck with your Saturday ACCA.

Bournemouth vs Aston Villa

Both teams to score – Bet Now

The Premier League season kicks off this weekend with newly-promoted team Bournemouth hosting Aston Villa. Last season, 50% of Premier League matches ended with both teams scoring goals, and my betting tips prediction is for this fixture to end BTTS.

Bournemouth have not upgraded their squad and are basically a Championship team playing in the Premier League. Their hope is to sign a load of players at the end of August as players decide whether to move or not ahead of the World Cup.

Aston Villa have spent money once more, but may be not like in past summers. The summer window was more about Aston Villa bringing in funds by selling Matt Targett, Carney Chukwuemeka, and Trezegeut.

Four of the last five meetings between Bournemouth and Aston Villa finished with both teams scoring. Sure, these sides have not played since the 2019-20 Premier League season, but both of those matches ended 2-1 to Bournemouth.

Aston Villa gave up 54 goals last season in the Premier League. The dead cat bounce provided from Steven Gerrard’s arrival didn’t last long. The team’s short-term defensive improvements didn’t last. Even with Diego Carlos now in central defence, Aston Villa could leak goals.

Borussia Monchengladbach vs Hoffenheim Tips

Both teams to score – Bet Now

In 2021-22, 60% of Bundesliga matches finished with both teams scoring goals. To kick off the new Bundesliga campaign, I’m backing Borussia Monchengladbach, under new coach Daniel Farke, to score alongside Hoffenheim.

The last five games between these teams finished with both teams scoring goals. Last season, Gladbach thrashed Hoffenheim at Borussia Park 5-1. The previous meeting at Hoffenheim finished 1-1. Hoffenheim had one of the best attacks in the Bundesliga last term with an average of 1.71 goals per game.

Gladbach had a poor defence and with the way Norwich City defended in the Premier League last term, it is unlikely Farke will have addressed all their goal conceding issues. Gladbach conceded 61 goals, the third-most of any team in the Bundesliga. Gladbach’s last five Bundesliga games to end 2021-22 finished with both teams scoring.

Clermont Foot vs PSG Tips

PSG to win to nil – Bet Now

Clermont Foot have an unenviable task of playing France’s top team, Paris Saint-Germain, to kick off the season. PSG hired manager Christophe Galtier in the offseason to provide some authority to the side. Galtier was the last manager to lead a team that other than PSG to the Ligue 1 title. He took Lille to the trophy in 2020-21 at the expense of PSG.

Galtier is a defence first manager. He will ensure that Paris stop conceding cheap goals to opponents. In two of the last three games between Clermont Foot and PSG in all competitions, the Parisians won to nil.

Forty-five-percent of Ligue 1 games last season saw NO BTTS. Surprisingly, PSG kept just six clean sheets on the road last season. Under Galtier, expect that figure to grow. The Parisians are already coming off of winning the French Super Cup 4-0 against Nantes.

Clermont Foot scored just 38 times in 38 games last season. The minnows of Ligue 1 will fight relegation and suffer a loss to nil on opening day to Paris.

Fortuna Sittard vs Ajax Tips

Ajax to win to nil – Bet Now

Twice last season, Ajax blasted Fortuna Sittard 5-0. It isn’t often that a team will suffer to 5-0 losses in back-to-back games against the same side, yet Fortuna Sittard did in 2021-22.

Ajax are coming off of losing the Dutch Super Cup 5-3 to PSV Eindhoven last weekend. Those two rivals will battle for the Eredivisie title. Fortuna Sittard will be fortunate to remain in the top flight at the end of the season.

Ajax had the Eredivisie’s best defence last season conceding 19 goals in 34 games. Three of their last five league matches ended in wins to nil a season ago. Fortuna Sittard ended the campaign a mere one point above the relegation playoff place.

Sittard conceded 67 goals, the second-most in the league. Fortuna Sittard scored just 36 times in 34 games. Ajax should have no issue posting a win to nil against Fortuna Sittard as they pile on the goals once more. Even with a new manager and plenty of fresh faces, Ajax are miles better than Fortuna Sittard in the Eredivisie.

Sheffield United vs Millwall Tips

Under 2.5 goals – Bet Now

The opening weekend of the Championship was low scoring. Eleven of the 12 league matches on opening day finished with under 2.5 goals scored.

Sheffield United lost 1-0 away to Watford. Millwall claimed a 2-0 win against Stoke City at home. The Lions are a dark horse to finish in the top six, while Sheffield United are one of the favourites to battle for a top-two place.

Four of the last five games between Sheffield United and Millwall finished with under 2.5 goals scored. Their most recent fixture played last season at the Den, finished 1-0 in favour of Millwall. Just one game on matchday No. 1 finished as an away win. The home teams had the advantage on the day.

Sheffield United could make great use of home-field advantage, but this game should be a low-scoring affair. The Blades once again showed their lack of cutting edge in the final third versus Watford. Meanwhile, Millwall played well defensively against Stoke City. This should be another Championship game to finish with fewer than 2.5 goals.
