Two in-form teams face-off at CenturyLink Field on Sunday night but the home team should comfortably have the measure of their opponents , writes Anthony Dunkley...

Seattle v Dallas (Sunday, 21.25, Sky Sports 1)

Anthony Dunkley’s Verdict: SEATTLE -8.5 @ 10/11 – BET NOW

This should be a fantastic game as is usually the case with two teams who have kicked off their season in fine form. Dallas are 4-1 after five games and Seattle, with the benefit of a by in Week 4, are 3-1 and seem to be in good knick ahead of their defense of the Super Bowl title.

This matchup is famous for the 2007 edition of this game in the NFC Wildcard Playoff round where QB Tony Romo fumbled a last minute snap which meant Seattle held on for dear life to go through. It still haunts Romo so he will be looking for revenge...

Dallas come into the game as the hottest team in the NFL. Four consecutive wins have put them in a great early season position to kick on for a playoff spot. While many were dubious of their form after their wins against the Titans and the Rams, they soon shut up when they beat genuine playoff contenders New Orleans and Houston. However, despite their great form, I don’t think they’ll be nearly the same force away on the road.

When it comes down to it, teams are still having a hard time winning at Seattle. They’ve looked decent this season in front of the Seahawks faithful, notching an opening game success against Green Bay before a less comfortable win against the Denver Broncos. Everyone raved about the “12th man” Seattle had last season when at home and there’s no evidence to say that’s stopped.

Seattle are currently averaging 167 rushing yards a game and QB Russell Wilson looks so much more mature than this time last season. While their offense is still flying, I can’t be against them. Seattle with the points.

Seattle v Dallas Head To Heads: Seattle haven’t lost at home to Dallas in their last three matches, winning by 20pts the last time the two clashed in 2012.

NFL Betting: Seattle are still fancied for Super Bowl success as favourites at 18/5 best price with Marathonbet and even as big as 9/2 on the exchanges. Dallas have dropped drastically down to 33/1 for the Super Bowl and are now evens to make the playoffs.
