Sunday Football Accumulator Prediction

We hope this will come off this weekend as several of the top leagues around Europe kick off. Our betting ACCA for Tuesday comes in at odds of 14.47/1. A £10 punt on this ACCA would land you £154.71. That’s a £144.71 profit on a £10 bet. Good luck with your Sunday ACCA.

Manchester United vs Brighton Tips

Manchester United to win – Bet Now

The Erik ten Hag era begins this weekend as Manchester United host Brighton at Old Trafford. The Red Devils have looked good in preseason, but questions continue to surround the quality of the playing squad. The future of Cristiano Ronaldo is still up in the air going into the season and the forward could leave the club.

Brighton go into the new campaign having done modest transfer business. Of course, the Seagulls are fuelled by analytics, so the three players that have arrived have ticked various metric boxes. The big loss for Brighton was Yves Bissouma, who joined Tottenham in the offseason.

Manchester United have a record of 5W-0D-1L against Brighton in their last five head-to-head matches. The only loss suffered by the Red Devils during that time came last season away to the Seagulls.

Manchester United were strong at home last season in the league with a record of 10W-5D-4L and a goal difference of +10. Brighton had an away record of 7W-8D-4L and a +2 away goal difference. Ten Hag should get the Red Devils over the line on matchday No. 1 in a potentially close game.

Leicester City vs Brentford Tips

Over 2.5 goals – Bet Now

What is going on at Leicester City? Four days before the start of the new season, Leicester City confirmed the sale of captain and goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, who joined Nice. The future of inconsistent midfielder James Maddison is still up in the air as well as Newcastle United consider signing him.

Brendan Rodgers has not made a signing this summer and I’m tipping the ex-Celtic coach as the first sacked this term. Nine players were signed by Rodgers last summer and it only got the Foxes an eighth-place finish. There seems to be some issues behind the scenes at the King Power Stadium as Rodgers spent heavily but came up with nothing.

Brentford have continued to do Brentford-like business. Some Premier League pundits expect the Bees to be relegated at the end of the campaign. The last three games between these sides finished with over 2.5 goals scored.

Last season, both games had identical 2-1 scorelines. Leicester City did the double over Brentford last term. That may not happen this time, but over 2.5 goals should be scored.

Koln vs Schalke Tips

Both teams to score – Bet Now

Schalke returned to the Bundesliga at the first time of asking. Now, the Blues will visit the Billy Goats of Koln on opening day of the 2022-23 Bundesliga season. Koln had a strong season last time around. The Billy Goats finished seventh and qualified for Europe.

Koln will hope for another strong season, while Schalke simply want to end the campaign away from the relegation zone. Four of the last five games between these teams finished with both teams scoring goals.

In 2021-22, 60% of Bundesliga matches finished with both teams scoring goals. Five of Koln’s last six games in the top flight ended with both teams finding the back of the net. The first game of the season should see both sides come out amped up with goals going in at both ends.

Coventry City vs Rotherham Tips

Under 2.5 goals – Bet Now

Eleven of the 12 Championship games played on matchday No. 1 finished with under 2.5 goals scored. The Championship can be a low-scoring league, especially with Fulham now in the Premier League. My betting tips prediction is for under 2.5 goals between Coventry City and Rotherham on matchday No. 2.

Last weekend, Coventry City came from a goal down to draw 1-1 away to Sunderland. The Sky Blues were good on the day although it took a fantastic long-range shot from Viktor Gyokeres to level the score.

Rotherham have been tipped by bookies to be relegated after coming up from League One last term. The Millers managed a 1-1 draw with promotion hopefuls Swansea City to start the season. Rotherham took the lead thanks to Chiedozie Ogbene, but conceded just before halftime. The Millers were able to keep a second half clean sheet.

This should be another low-scoring game in the second division. Two of the last three games between Coventry City and Rotherham finished with under 2.5 goals. City have the better squad, but Rotherham proved they aren’t an easy team to defeat on matchday No. 1.

Royal Antwerp vs OH Leuven Tips

Under 2.5 goals – Bet Now

The Belgium Pro League goes into matchday No. 3 with a top of the table tilt. League leader OH Leuven host second-place Royal Antwerp on Sunday. These are the only two Pro League teams to win their opening two matches. OH Leuven have a slightly better goal difference of +4 compared to Antwerp’s +3.

OH Leuven or Royal Antwerp can really set the pace in the Pro League early on, if either side claims a win. Both teams are playing well and neither has conceded a goal in 2022-23.

Royal Antwerp are the big spenders of the Pro League with former Inter Milan and Roma player Radja Nainggolan and ex-Tottenham player Toby Alderweireld being signed in the last two seasons. Antwerp have been built to win the league and they look strong. OH Leuven are surprising onlookers. However, their wins came against Kortrijk and Westerlo, who are not teams that will trouble the top six.

Four of the last six games in all competitions between Royal Antwerp and OH Leuven finished with under 2.5 goals. My betting tips prediction is for this to be a defensive battle with under 2.5 goals at full-time.
