Manchester City continue their quest for the quadruple as they travel to Wales to face Championship opposition in Swansea City.
Weary of the threat of lower league shocks, Pep Guardiola will ensure that his side aren’t complacent in Saturday evening’s FA Cup quarter-final fixture at the Liberty Stadium.
With play-off chances nothing more than a distance image for the Swans, FA Cup glory is all they have to play for this season, but can they upset the overwhelming favourites?
Manchester City’s devastating form in 2019 continued with a 7-0 thrashing of German side Schalke in midweek to progress to the quarter-final stage of the Champions League.
The reigning Primer League Champions have already notched up 69 goals this calendar year and secured victories of substantial margins. It’s only March yet Manchester City have won 7-0 twice, 9-0, 5-0 and 6-0 already in 2019.
City might be competing on all four fronts, but Guardiola is yet to win the FA Cup during his stint in Manchester and has given the competition the respect it deserves by fielding strong teams no matter who they’ve played.
Swansea’s up-and-down season continued with a 2-0 defeat at the hands of promotion chasing West Brom in midweek - a match that will be known more for the fantastic penalty blunder by Bersant Celina.
It’s highly unlikely that the Welsh side will be challenging for a play-off place come May, so a strong FA Cup run is all that remains for Graham Potter’s team.
The Swans won the League Cup back in 2013 after demolishing Bradford City 5-0 in the final, so the Welsh side are familiar with a cup run, but Manchester City looks to be a step too far.
Unsurprisingly, Manchetser City are overwhelming favourites at 1/7 best-price to win, while Swansea can be backed a 22/1 for an unlikely victory.

Scotsman Oli McBurnie is in line for a recall for Swansea after missing the past couple of games due to illness. However, Leroy Fer, Martin Olsson and Joe Rodon are still on the side lines.
Manchester City will continue to miss Kevin De Bruyne, Benjamin Mendy and Fernandinho who are still struggling with injuries. Captain Vincent Kompany looks set to return to the squad after a minor injury kept the Belgian out of the match with Schalke.
Manchester City -2.5 Asian Handicap @ 21/20 – BET NOW
Pep Guardiola will be delighted that his team have scored 16 times and conceded just once in three FA Cup matches so far this season.
The Cityzens have been ruthless in 2019, outscoring any team put in their way. The 7-0 midweek performance against Schalke would have wetted the appetite of the attacking players in City’s squad and they will be looking for blood on the Swans.
So far this season, Manchester City have faced lower league opposition four times which have ended with the following score lines all in their favour: 7-0, 9-0, 1-0, 4-1.
The Asian handicap markets are the place to explore in this match as -2.5 looks overpriced and a very safe pick considering man City’s record this season.
Phil Foden to score anytime @ 5/2 – BET NOW
Eighteen-year-old midfielder Phil Foden has earned plenty of action for Manchester City in recent weeks and he has notched up a few goals along the way.
The Englishman has scored three times in three appearances in the FA Cup this year and also got himself on the score sheet in the Champions League in midweek as part of the demolition of Schalke.
With many of the bigger names offering no value, Phil Foden is the man that sticks out in the anytime goal scorer market and can be backed at a strong 5/2 price.
Correct score – 5-0 @ 13/1 – BET NOW
Swansea have very little chance of nicking a result on Saturday evening – the Swans will have their work cut out against the best attacking side in the country.
No team moves the ball about like City do, nor is any team as clinical. A strong, efficient performance is expected of Manchester City and 5-0 would keep in line with some of their big score lines in recent weeks.
