With a lack of top club action this week, we have delved into the Belgian league for our three-game accumulator, while we also include a South American World Cup qualifier featuring Brazil and a showdown between two long-standing Middle Eastern rivals, Iran and Iraq.

Thursday Football Acca Prediction

As of writing, a £10 stake on our three selections would return £173.25.

Iran vs Iraq Betting Tips

(Thursday, 14:30)

Iran to Win - BET NOW

Iran and Iraq have been foes for many a year and they face off on the football pitch again in an AFC World Cup qualifying match.

Iran are top of their qualifying group of six, two points clear of South Korea in second, and look well-placed to make it to Qatar for the end-of-year showpiece. They haven't played since November but are on a superb 13-game unbeaten run, winning 12, and saw off Iraq 3-0 away the last time they met in September.

Iraq are fifth in the group of six so are running out of time with just four games to go in the qualifying process if they are to make a late bid to secure a place in Qatar themselves. Realistically, nothing less than a win will do for them but, sadly, it looks a remote possibility. Iraq hadn't won for 10 games before finally ending that dire run with a 1-0 friendly win over Uganda last week, and they look like being on the end of another defeat against their neighbours on Thursday.

Club Brugge vs Union SG Betting Tips

(Thursday, 19:45)

Draw - BET NOW

Surprise leaders in Belgium, Union SG, face a test of their title credentials when they go to reigning champions Club Brugge.

Considering they were only promoted last season, Union's rise to the top of the Jupiler Pro League has been nothing short of remarkable, and have now carved out a nine-point lead over the chasing pack.

Union, who have Northern Irishman Chris O'Loughlin as their sporting director and Brighton chairman Tony Bloom as owner, have been mightily impressive, winning 17 of their 23 matches so far. They are on a seven-game unbeaten run, winning six, and have hit a league-high 56 goals, while also conceding the fewest in the division, 21, wonderfully embracing their return to the top flight for the first time in 48 years.

However, a note of caution ahead of Thursday's game is that the experienced Blauw-Zwart did win the reverse fixture 1-0 back in August and they are in solid form, too, losing just one of their last eight league games, winning five. Club Brugge know they will need a win again if they are to begin to claw back that nine-point deficit but Union have proved they are more than good enough to claim a draw.

Ecuador vs Brazil Betting Tips

(Thursday, 21:00)

Ecuador to Win - BET NOW

Already-qualified Brazil go to in-form Ecuador for a World Cup qualifier on Thursday night and the hosts look to have a great chance of beating their more esteemed South American rivals for the first time since 2004.

Brazil are home and hosed in terms of qualifying for Qatar as they sit top of the CONMEBOL standings, six points clear of second-placed Argentina, with the top four all making it through. It means this clash in Quito represents a great chance for Ecuador, who are third in the standings and in need of a win to maintain their own bid to qualify, to cause an upset.

With the pressure off Brazil, head coach Tite, who is without the injured Neymar, is likely to rotate his star-studded squad so they won't be at full-strength and Ecuador can take advantage. It will not be easy as Brazil are unbeaten in their last 30 World Cup qualifiers but there are hints that that long unbeaten run will soon come to an end.

The Selecao have failed to win their last two away games, instead drawing with both Argentina and Colombia, and mixing that form with Ecuador's fine recent home record - La Tri have won three of their last four games at home to nil, drawing the other game 0-0 - and there is a feeling of a shock home win being on the cards.

Brazil are understandably favourites, having beaten Thursday's opponents in 27 of their 34 meetings compared to Ecuador, who have won just twice against Brazil, with five of their previous meetings ending all-square.

However, all things considered, Ecuador are backable as they clearly have a lot more to play for and can hopefully deliver at a good price.
