There are a host of games in the Europa League on Thursday as Europe’s secondary club competition kicks back into action. We have scoured the markets to find three bets for a football accumulator.
A £10 stake on our three-fold could return £82.50
Maccabi Haifa to win - BET NOW
Maccabi Haifa have made a solid start to the season, with two straight victories and one defeat in 10 league matches, and those results should prove a great source of confidence ahead of their Europa tie with Almaty.
They have won four of their last five matches in this competition and, while progress has been limited, they do know how to perform in these preliminary stages.
Kairat, from Kazakhstan, have won their last five league matches but this represents a step up in class for them.
They have already been in action in the competition, having beaten Noah from Armenia in the last round, but this is where life starts to get tough and they will probably be mindful that they have lost six of their last 10 Europa League away matches.
It seems sensible, therefore, to back the Israelis to book their place in the next round and build on their early-season promise.
Basel to win - BET NOW
Basel reached the quarter-finals of the Europa League last season and they should come away from their trip to Croatia with a victory over Osijek.
The Swiss outfit were unbeaten in their final seven games of their domestic season and although they registered victories in just three of their last 11 away league games, they can rectify that situation on Thursday, particularly as they posted 3-0 wins at Apoel and Eintracht Frankfurt in the competition last season.
Osijek beat Rijeka on Saturday but that success came after defeats to Dinamo Zagreb and Hadjuk Split. They have won just one of their last six matches in the Europa League, and it looks likely that particular run will be extended on Thursday.
Basel to win - BET NOW
Honved may have a glorious European history but that is more than a couple of generations ago and it is difficult to see them making much progress in this year’s Europa League.
The Hungarians needed extra-time to force their way past Finnsh outfit Inter Turku in the last round and their latest opponents from Scandinavia could prove to be a much tougher proposition.
That success was only their second win in their last six Europa League outings and it is difficult to be confident about a side who have not kept a clean sheet in their last 12 league matches.
Malmo’s recent record is impressive. The Swedes have lost just one of their last 14 league matches and their expectations will be high after they reached the knockout stages of the competition last season, before losing to Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg.
