With a busy evening of EFL Cup action on Tuesday, we have explored the markets to pick out three bets for the Tuesday football accumulator.
A £10 stake on our three-fold could return £59.76.
Newcastle to win - BET NOW
Newcastle are not renowned for doing well in cup competitions but recent additions have given them greater depth to their squad and they look a fair price to overcome Championship side Blackburn.
The Magpies hit the ground running with a comfortable 2-0 win at West Ham in their Premier League opener - new signings Callum Wilson and Jeff Hendrick were both on target - while Blackburn lost out in a five-goal thriller at Bournemouth in their Championship curtain-raiser.
While Newcastle look stronger now than they have for some time, Blackburn are weakened offensively due to the injuries of influential midfielder Bradley Dack and striker Sam Gallagher.
Adam Armstrong, a Geordie who came through the academy ranks at Newcastle, carries Blackburn’s chief attacking threat and while he was on the scoresheet at Bournemouth, this is a tougher task.
Newcastle and Blackburn drew 1-1 at St James’ Park in the FA Cup last season before the Magpies ran out 4-2 winners in the replay at Ewood Park, but Steve Bruce’s side look more convincing now and may get the job done at the first time of asking.
Sheffield Wednesday to win - BET NOW
Rochdale are one of the sides who have been severely impacted by the coronavirus and they look set for a season of struggle in League One, having been forced to let most of their influential players leave Spotland.
Last season’s leading marksman Ian Henderson has dropped a division to join Salford in League Two, while Jordan Williams has left for Blackpool and Callum Camps has headed to Fleetwood.
Dale suffered a 3-1 defeat at newly-promoted Swindon in their League One opener and Championship side Sheffield Wednesday should readily have their measure in the EFL Cup.
Wednesday were docked 12 points prior to the start of the Championship season for breaking spending rules but a 2-0 win at Cardiff in their first match should have settled the nerves and manager Garry Monk has a great squad at his disposal.
The Owls needed penalties to overcome Walsall in the first round but Mink fielded a strong side and it was a match they dominated. A repeat should be enough to topple a troubled Dale, who beat League Two Morecambe 2-1 in the last round but had trailed until the 87th minute.
Both teams to score - BET NOW
Lyon played out a goalless draw with Bordeaux in their last Ligue 1 clash on Friday but a far more entertaining contest should be in store at Montpellier.
Although held to a bore draw at Bordeaux, Lyon looked lively and they won the shot count 14-5. On a different day, the net may have bulged a few times.
Prior to that, Lyon were 4-1 winners at home to Djon and the presence of Memphis Depay, Moussa Dembele, Karl Ekambi and Maxwel Cornet gives them great attacking quality.
If there is a weakness in Lyon’s ranks, however, then it is defensively and Montepllier should be able to capitalise.
Both teams have scored in all three of Montpellier’s Ligue 1 games this season, with Michel Der Zakarian’s men winning their sole home assignment 3-1 at home to Nice.
The pair have locked horns 15 times since 2014 and one or both teams have failed to score in only three of those contests.
