The LPGA Tour heads to France this week for the Evian Championship, the fourth of five Major championships played each year on the leading women's tour.

Normally one of the highlights of the LPGA season, the 2021 event has been hit by some high-profile withdrawals, with American superstars Danielle Kang and Lexi Thompson and US Open winner Yuka Saso among those prioritising the Olympic golf tournament.

Despite the key absentees, this is still an excellent field headed by world number one and recently-crowned Women's PGA champion Nelly Korda, who is 9/1 to win back-to-back Majors despite never recording a top-20 finish in three previous Evian attempts.

Defending champion Jin Young Ko, who won this title when the tournament was last staged in 2019, heads up a strong South Korean challenge and is 11/1 to win with Hyo Joo Kim at 14/1, Inbee Park at 16/1 and Sei Young Kim also at 16/1.

Beyond the obvious candidates, Korda's older sister Jessica is 35/1 to win her first Major and could well be spurred on by the exploits of her sibling, while English duo Charley Hull and Georgia Hall are 50/1 and 55/1 shots.

Others to keep an eye out for include 55/1 shot Megan Khang - fourth at the Women's US Open and eighth in this event two years ago and 66/1 chance Jennifer Kupcho, who was runner-up behind Ko in 2019.

Evian Championship Prediction

Jin Young Ko to win - BET NOW

While Nelly Korda is the one to beat, her Evian record reads a disappointing MC-61-25, and this course, which has drawn criticism from some notable players in the past, could start to frustrate the 22-year-old if things do not go her way in the early stages.

Jin Young Ko deployed a patient approach to win this event two years ago, and the defending champion looks poised to win again after returning to top form with a win at the Volunteers of America Classic three weeks ago.

Ko, who took time away from the circuit in 2020 due to travel restrictions, has a magnificent recent record on the biggest stage, finishing seventh or better in six of nine Majors she has participated in since the start of 2019, and there is every chance she tastes further French success.

Jennifer Kupcho to win - BET NOW

Jennifer Kupcho was second to Ko two years ago, a result which was particularly impressive considering that the Colorado player was making her tournament debut and she'd only just relinquished her amateur status.

A former world number one as an amateur, Kupcho triumphed at the Augusta Women's Amateur in 2019 and, while she is winless since joining the LPGA Tour, the 24-year-old is knocking on the door claiming three top-15 finishes from her last four stroke-play events.
