The PGA Tour heads back to California this week and a strong field will tee it up in the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines.

There have been some big-name winners of this tournament in recent years and there is a $1.35million cheque waiting for the victor.

Marc Leishman is the defending champion with Australian golfers winning three of the last six editions of the Farmers Insurance Open.

Jon Rahm to win - BET NOW

World number two Jon Rahm won this tournament back in 2017 and was runner-up to Leishman last year, finishing just a stroke behind the winner.

So it's not a major surprise to see the Spaniard amongst the favourites this week, with Rahm currently available at odds of 13/2 to lift the trophy on Sunday.

Rahm's Ryder Cup team-mate Rory McIlroy heads back to the US, after making an appearance on the European Tour last week.

The Northern Irishman missed out on the Abu Dhabi Championship last week but a third-place finish will see him take plenty of confidence to California.

McIlroy, who finished T3 at Torrey Pines 12 months ago, is available to back at 8/1 to win his first PGA Tour title since November 2019.

Jason Day is a two-time Torrey Pines winner (2018 / 2015) and the 2015 PGA Champion is available at 35/1 to win this week - the same price as defending champion Leishman.

Tony Finau - Top 5 Finish - BET NOW

One man who has found some new year form is Tony Finau and the American seems primed to collect his second US Tour victory in the near future.

It's incredible to think that Finau - currently world number 20 - only has one tournament victory to his name and that is almost five years ago.

He carded four sub-70 rounds at last week's American Express event and had to settle for fourth place - four shots behind winner Si Woo Kim.

The 31-year-old will be determined to get that second win on the board and having finished T6 at last year's event, will have fond memories of Torrey Pines.

Finau is 9/2 to finish in the top five and can be backed at 20/1 to collect that much-needed tournament victory.

Farmers Insurance Open Prediction

Rahm is clearly the man to beat this week, with such an impressive record in this tournament and in recent months.

The 26-year-old has finished in the top 10 of each of his last three tournaments and has carded nine sub-70s in his last 12 rounds.

Finau though is capable of challenging over the course of the four days and can record a fifth top-10 finish in his last eight tournaments.

Alex Noren - Top 20 Finish - BET NOW

Another value bet to consider is a top-20 finish for Alex Noren, with the Swedish ace showing some good signs in recent weeks.

After an opening round 67 last week, Noren secured a T40 finish at La Quinta. A good start is crucial to Noren's chances with the world number 96 is 15/4 to finish in the top 20.
