Arguably the most iconic tournament in golf, the Masters returns this week for its 86th edition as the world's best make their annual pilgrimage to the famed fairways of Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia, USA.
Hideki Matsuyama claimed the Green Jacket 12 months ago but all the talk in the build-up to the 2022 tournament has surrounded the potential return of Tiger Woods, who has not played competitive golf since his horror car crash in February 2021.
The Masters Betting Odds
Jon Rahm remains the favourite for the Masters at 11/1 but the Spaniard, struggling with his short-game in recent months, has been easy to back in his quest for a first Green Jacket.
Justin Thomas is next in at 14/1 with Players Championship winner Cameron Smith, current world number one Scottie Scheffler and 2020 champion Dustin Johnson all available at 16/1.
Brooks Koepka, Rory McIlroy, Collin Morikawa, Viktor Hovland and Jordan Spieth form a quintet who can all be backed at 20/1.
The Masters Long Shot Prediction
While the quality of the field means that huge upsets have been few and far between at the Masters, there is scope for winners at bigger odds with Bubba Watson, Danny Willett, Sergio Garcia, Patrick Reed and Matsuyama all triumphing at 40/1 or more in the last decade.
At 60/1, there will be those who buy into the potential Tiger fairytale but, for those who think a Masters victory will prove beyond him, here are three to follow at bigger prices this week.
Corey Conners to win - BET NOW
Mike Weir is the only Canadian to don the Green Jacket but he could be joined on the list by compatriot Corey Conners, who has already demonstrated that he has what it takes to go well around Augusta National and could defy odds of 55/1.
The 30-year-old, a brilliant ball-striker who has been held back by struggles on the greens, was tenth in the 2020 Masters and eighth in last year's edition, and he returns to the event with excellent form behind him, having finished third in the recent WGC Match Play.
Thomas Pieters to win - BET NOW
Enigmatic but with a sprinkle of star quality, 125/1 shot Thomas Pieters sealed his Masters return by winning the Portugal Masters and the Abu Dhabi Championship on the DP World Tour, victories which pushed him back into the world's top 50.
The Belgian appears to be happy both on and off the course, which has not always been the case.
While his 2022 Stateside starts have been unimpressive, he has shown a liking for Augusta National, having finished fourth there on debut in 2017.
Cameron Champ to win - BET NOW
Cameron Champ very much falls into the same category as Pieters in that he's bristling with talent but is yet to truly establish himself at the top of the sport despite flashes of brilliance.
However, at odds of 160/1, Champ looks worth a bet given the boosted each-way terms on offer this week - the Californian has Augusta form figures of 19-26 from two previous visits.
