The 2020 US Open starts at New York's fabled Winged Foot Golf Club on Thursday and we have three 3-ball tips who look capable of getting off to a quick start in the second Major of the year.
Winged Foot last hosted a US Open in 2006, when Geoff Ogilvy triumphed at five-over-par. With conditions likely to be just as tough this week, elite ball-strikers with sharp scrambling skills are preferred.
Kaymer to win - BET NOW
Martin Kaymer's last professional victory came at the 2014 US Open at Pinehurst but the genial German looks to be rediscovering his form after years in the golfing wilderness.
Kaymer enjoys it when the going gets tough and he has been playing well on the European Tour of late, finishing third in the UK Championship at the Belfry before a runner-up finish in the Andalucia Masters at a typically tricky Valderrama.
He's paired alongside fellow Major winner Jimmy Walker, who has been wild off the tee in recent months and is unlikely to cope with the demands of Winged Foot, and amateur John Augenstein, who may find this assignment too tough.
Hughes to win - BET NOW
Mackenzie Hughes has been in fantastic form over the last three months and this top-class putter looks primed to make a fast start in this all-Canadian group.
Hughes's form over his last eight starts reads an impressive 3-48-6-44-58-13-10-7 with top-ten finishes coming in severe tests at the Memorial and the BMW Championship.
Hadwin has struggled since the restart and tends to play his best golf in low-scoring events while Conners is talented but has a poor record in Major Championships.
Hughes, who ranked sixth in strokes gained around-the-green on the PGA Tour last season, is the in-form player in this group and should be backed to prevail.
Niemann to win - BET NOW
A talented trio of PGA Tour rising stars tee off alongside one another at 17:54 and, at the prices, Joaquin Niemann could go lower than Sungjae Im and Cameron Champ.
The young Chilean did not perform to the best of his ability at the Tour Championship but he was previously third to Dustin Johnson and Jon Rahm at the BMW - a tournament played in tricky conditions at Olympia Fields.
All three are capable of making a fast start but Im has lacked sparkle since the restart while Winged Foot does not look a great fit for big-hitting Champ at this stage in his brief career.
