After four winners in four weeks, Stuart Gatelan’s winning run finally come to an end at last week’s Canadian Open. He still sits on an impressive £531 profit for the season and will be looking to add to that this week at the WGC Bridgestone Invitational.

WGC Bridgestone Invitational Tips

The World No.1 Dustin Johnson was unable to keep my winning run going last week, but I was very impressed by his performance. He finished in 8th and was four shots behind the leaders but if you watched his final two rounds you’ll know that he was very unlucky on and around the greens. He will consider himself very unfortunate not to have won or at the very least finished in the playoff position at Glen Abbey and will definitely be looking to make amends this week.

Dustin comes into this tournament as the defending champion and although this will be a lot tougher with all of the top 50 in the rankings participating, I think his performance last week showed it won’t be long until he gets back to winning ways.

OUTRIGHT WINNER @ 10/1 – BET NOW

Players like Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler, Brooks Koepka etc all hold obvious chances this week, but for my second pick I’ve gone for a bit of value and will be backing Kevin Chappell.

Chappell has had a relatively decent season so far with one win at the Valero Texas Open (tipped by myself at 33/1), four top 10 finishes and good performances in both the Masters (7th) and U.S. Open (23rd). He finished in 8th with Dustin Johnson at last week’s Canadian Open and will definitely be kicking himself that he didn’t finish closer to the leaders after being one shot behind going into the final round.

He finished 3rd here last year and will be looking to go two better after his most recent performances. If he finds less trouble off the tee I think there’s a good chance he could outplay his odds of 66/1.
