It's day two of the Aintree Grand National Festival on Friday and it's another stunning card with four Grade 1 races featured.

There's also a first look at the National fences in the Topham Chase at 16:05. Action is underway from 13:45 at Aintree on Friday through until 17:15 and we've assembled our best bets on the card.

Chantry House to win - BET NOW

With Envoi Allen an early casualty in last month's Marsh Novices' Chase at Cheltenham, it paved the way for Chantry House to go ahead and deliver a statement performance in landing that intermediate Grade 1.

Nobody can say how it would have unfolded had Envoi Allen stayed in the race, but Chantry House was very impressive up the run-in and a most deserving winner for Nicky Henderson in the JP McManus hoops.

He looks ready-made to go up to three miles around this place and he may have too much speed for the likes of Fiddlerontheroof and The Big Breakaway - the Colin Tizzard pair having chased home Monkfish last time at Cheltenham.

Shan Blue tends to do a bit too much in front, though this track might suit, and the jury remains out on Sporting John, Philip Hobbs' charge already giving away ground when he came down at Cheltenham. Espoir De Romay and Silver Hallmark may improve again, but Chantry House sets a high standard now.

Caribean Boy to win and each-way - BET NOW

Livelovelaugh went well for a long way in the 2019 Grand National and has a fine chance back over these unique jumping tests for Willie and Patrick Mullins now. He's been in fine tune in Ireland in two starts lately and has strong claims, though the market has rather found him.

At twice the price, a chance is therefore given to Caribean Boy, one of four Nicky Henderson-trained runners in this line-up.

Famously, the Seven Barrows handler has never won a Grand National of any description in Britain or Ireland and so it's something of a quirk that he has sent out five Topham winners down the years over these same birch-clad obstacles that elude him 24 hours on.

Caribean Boy did some good late work at Cheltenham last month in the Plate, won by The Shunter, coming home in seventh spot eventually. He could well build on that now for Henderson and Daryl Jacob.

Fakir D'oudairies to win and each-way - BET NOW

Politologue won this in 2018 and was (distant) second behind Min a year later. The Paul Nicholls-trained grey was turned over at Ascot in January in the Clarence House and arrives here fresh, having missed his Queen Mother Champion Chase defence at Cheltenham.

He may be starting to edge past his best and has young rivals to worry about now. His stablemates Duc Des Genievres and Master Tommytucker both have questions against them in this company, while Betfair Ascot Chase winner Dashel Drasher must illustrate the ability to perform away from his favourite track.

That may all pave the way for Fakir D'oudairies to go one better than his Ryanair Chase second to Allaho last month. He didn't jump perfectly at Cheltenham and therefore couldn't really close down Allaho under a front-running masterclass from Rachael Blackmore, but this track ought to play to his strengths and leave him on a more even keel jumps-wise. He has the form to bag this prize and the six-year-old can take care of these older rivals.
