It is day two of the Aintree Festival and Aiden Perkins has his tips for you in three of the day's feature races.

Zubayr Win and Each-Way @ 10/1 – BET NOW

Paul Nicholls' charge was sixth in this last year, but is more attractively weighted this time and even more so when allowing for his talented amateur's valuable 7lb claim. Additionally he arrives in better shape having produced his best run in several months at Kempton last time on ground considered softer than ideal. Whilst conditions remain no worse than good-to-soft there are reasons to be highly optimistic about his prospects at the current odds.

Vision Des Flos Win and Each-Way @ 6/1 – BET NOW

Colin Tizzard enjoyed a fantastic Aintree in 2017 including a victory in this with Pingshou and he is already off to a great start here a year later.

Vision Des Flos reappears having failed to stay the trip when sixth to the mighty Samcro in the “Ballymore” at Cheltenham. He was travelling as well as anything until hitting a wall after the second last and connections have had no hesitation in bringing him back to 2m in search of the big prize he was purchased for.

A wind operation and the fitting of a tongue-tie have transformed him since a disappointing start to his new career. The way he took apart Listed company at Exeter in February suggested he could still have a glittering career ahead of him. That represents the most impressive form in what is not the strongest Grade 1 race you will see and the best current price of 6/1 look very generous.

Shanahan's Turn Win and Each-Way @ 33/1 – BET NOW

Whatever the fate of Vision Des Flos earlier in the afternoon the Tizzard/Power/Potts team could spring a surprise in the day's showpiece event with Shanahan's Turn. The ten-year-old has had an interrupted career since landing the Galway Plate in 2015, but there were positives to be taken from his recent run at the Cheltenham festival which should have put an edge on him for this and his prospects are more obvious than those of Ultragold who was sent out by the yard to cause a 50/1 shock last year.

Nick Schofield is the only rider to have scored on Art Mauresque in this country and the combination can give a good account of themselves so long as the ground continues to dry out. Paul Nicholls' charge is suited to a strongly run race and has dropped to a more attractive handicap mark despite shaping well in two valuable races this winter.

Theatre Territory will be partnered by Sam Waley-Cohen who steered home Rajdhani Express to victory in this three years ago. The mare has solid form in the book having posted good efforts in defeat to the Close Brothers winner Mister Whittaker and National Hunt Chase runner-up Ms Parfois. She has that blend of speed to win over 2m4f and the stamina to last 3m which looks ideal for this contest and it is hard to envisage her being out of the frame.
