A hectic final Friday of July in store, with no less than eight race meetings across Britain and Ireland.

We start today's racing tips at Ascot, where they are getting set for the King George on Saturday.

Mancini win and each-way @ 5/2 - BET NOW

Mancini has been progressing nicely in the staying ranks this season for trainer Jonathan Portman and is fancied to extend his 2018 record to four wins in five starts by landing this contest.

He took another step forward at Goodwood last month, powering away to win by five-lengths and that success leaves the feeling than an 8lb ratings hike, coupled with a nice break leading into this race, won't be enough to halt his progress.

Richard Kingscote gets on well with the Nathaniel gelding and is also in a confident mood right now with a 20 per-cent strike rate from his last 40 mounts. They will be tough to crack in this JGR Brown Jack Handicap from a decent draw and can justify their spot at the head of the racing betting.

3.35 Ascot

Unforgetable Filly win and each-way @ 12/1 - BET NOW

There's no denying that the Hugo Palmer-trained Unforgetable Filly has got to bounce back here but her position in the latest racing odds factors that into account and she might be worth chancing, eased in grade and with first-time blinkers potentially going to sharper her ideas.

She is the class act in this field based on last seasons' form, when she won a Musselburgh listed race and the German 1,000 Guineas.

Her return to action at Leicester saw her just giving best to Di Fede (re-opposes now) and she has since found things happening all too quickly in a Group 2 contest at Royal Ascot. Back here in what might seemingly be calmer waters, with the new headgear to assist, it is worth giving her a shot at a redemptive run.

2.45 Uttoxeter

Premier King win and each-way @ 4/5 - BET NOW

Premier King didn't have to be asked for maximum effort as he opened his account at the first time of asking for Dan Skelton over 2m4f at this venue earlier in the month and the extra yardage offered here should suit the former Irish point-to-pointer.

That win at this venue was his first start after undergoing wind surgery and he had the race in safe keeping from the second last onwards having made smooth progress to take up the running.

There should be plenty more to come from the lightly-raced ten-year-old. He's been nudged up 10lb for his win, but looks capable of notching a summer sequence for a yard bang in form – the trainer has a 31 per-cent strike rate from his previous 29 runners.
