After the excitement of the St Leger and the thrills of Champions Weekend in Ireland, it is a slightly more mundane Monday feeling today.
But we go again in search of winners with three racing tips to get the new week rolling.
Bermeo win and each-way @ 7/2 – BET NOW
Johnny Farrelly's Bermeo has been improving in three runs over fences at Newton Abbot since he underwent a wind operation earlier this summer.
He duly got up late in the piece a week ago to win a conditional jockeys' contest over 3m2f and comes here off the same mark, escaping a penalty for that win.
The drop in trip isn't a major concern and he's got winning form over this trip around Worcester from his hurdling career.
The seven-year-old has finished out of the money just once in four starts over fences so far and has scope to go well once more, despite this appearing a deeper contest on paper compared to last weeks' win.
He looks the one to side with in the racing odds for opener at Worcester.
Leoncavallo win and each-way @ 11/10 – BET NOW
Good enough to finish fifth in a Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham, Leoncavallo reached a rating of 140 over hurdles before suffering some injury problems and eventually leaving Ben Pauling's yard.
He has reappeared this year having joined Dr Richard Newland and, in truth, the six-year-old could scarcely be in better hands as he looks to get his career back on track.
That suspicion was confirmed when he made a winning start for his new handler at Ludlow in May, doing so with a minimum of fuss. His next mission was a very competitive handicap hurdle at the Galway Festival last month where he finished a promising third.
His Grand National-winning trainer now sends him chasing and the future could be bright for Leoncavallo in this sphere, given he has looked as well as ever in those recent starts.
At odds against in the racing betting, he makes appeal for a winning start in this sphere.
Rippling Waters win and each-way @ 7/4 – BET NOW
Rippling Waters showed decent form when trained by Mick Channon and will have a strong claim here if able to get close to her best. She made her debut for Jamie Osborne this month on the beach over at Laytown in Ireland.
She didn't appear to relish that somewhat quirky test and now finds a golden chance to earn her first success.
Osborne has got his team in fine tune right now and with the excellent Rossa Ryan able to take 3lb off her back, the partnership appeals as the most likely winners of this maiden contest where a fair portion of the field have plenty of work to do.
