Remind me next time

It’s the second day of the Grand National meeting with the Grade One Melling Chase the feature event. With rain on the way I have tipped based on the theory that it could be good to soft (soft in places).

Aintree Tips –

2.00 – Aintree – Following his win in the Imperial Cup, BALTIMORE ROCK deserves a chance in graded company and the more overnight rain the better for him.

BET NOW – BALTIMORE ROCK

2.30 – Aintree – Another stepping out of handicap company into graded class is Cheltenham Festival winner HOLYWELL, so let’s hope that he can fence slightly better here.

BET NOW – HOLYWELL

3.05 – Aintree – This year’s renewal of the Melling is hardly full of quality hence the larger than normal field. MODULE was ultimately outpaced in the Queen Mother and will love the extra half mile.

BET NOW – MODULE

3.40 – Aintree – Plenty of these simply won’t get home if we get plenty of rain overnight, but the progressive DOUBLE ROSS will and he loves to get his toe in.

BET NOW – DOUBLE ROSS

4.15 – Aintree – Most of these have been on the go for some time, but PORT MELON has only raced the once this season and will relish the step up in trip having been badly outpaced at Cheltenham last time out.

BET NOW – PORT MELON

4.50 – Aintree CHELTENIAN is worth another chance here after bottoming out quickly at the second last in the County Hurdle especially as he still looks well treated. He is once again 100% fit and the extra half mile on this ground should help him.

BET NOW – CHELTENIAN

5.25 – Aintree – This looks very competitive, but TARA MIST has looked the sort to improve with experience and should go close for Henry Daly. She is just preferred to the likes of the unbeaten and well regarded Plum Stone and The Govaness.

BET NOW – TARA MIST
