Angus' Saturday CH4 Horse Racing Tips

It is St Leger day at Doncaster and I fancy a big boil over there. Here are my views of the Channel Four races for Saturday afternoon - AL

Doncaster Tips -

2.05 - Doncaster - His win in the Superlative Stakes was outstanding and I think that ESTIDHKAAR can give the weight away all round in this Champagne Stakes. He can successfully give the weight away to Roger Varian trained Belardo.

2.40 - Doncaster - Back in distance, MUTHMIR is back on his favoured fast surface and may have too much speed for this field of mainly older handicappers the best of which could well be York Glory who looks well handicapped.

3.15 - Doncaster - I think all eyes will be on Aljamaaheer on his return to seven furlongs, but he should make the market for my selection CABLE BAY. The selection needed his first run back and should go well at an each-way price.

3.50 - Doncaster - This looks a very open St Leger and this final classic of the season has produced its shocks down through the years and SCOTLAND can produce another now that he races over a real trip of ground.

Chester Tips -

2.20 - Chester - Drawn in the prime slot in stall number one, NORSE BLUES can blast out and lead this field a merry dance. The quicker ground is what he wants and he can make the most of the weight he receives from the likes of Little Shambles and Storm King.

2.55 - Chester - A really open renewal of this Listed race over a mile and a half and it may well pay to take a chance with Marco Botti's Brazilian import ENERGIA FRIBBY. If the selection doesn't fire, Pinzolo may take advantage.

Leopardstown Tips -

5.45 - Leopardstown - Following her win in the Yorkshire Oaks at York, TAPESTRY takes a massive drop in distance, down to a mile, and she can take this before possibly running in the Arc at Longchamp.
