Boxing Day is the biggest day of jumps racing in the calendar and there will be a flurry of racing betting after two days without action, with Might Bite fancied to win the big race at Kempton.

Might Bite - BET NOW

Nicky Henderson's eight-year-old has a supreme engine and he is well-suited to this flat track at Kempton. He'd have won the Kauto Star Novices' Chase over the course and distance last Christmas by a wide margin but for crashing down at the final obstacle. Arguably, Daryl Jacob had much of the blame to shoulder for that mishap, having asked Might Bite up for a big leap. Since then, Might Bite has won all four starts, with Nico de Boinville on top each time. There was his infamous RSA Chase win at Cheltenham, when he idled badly after the last fence and appeared to toss away the race, only to rally strongly and nail stablemate Whisper on the line. No quirks since in his victory at Aintree or on his reappearance at Sandown and, on a track that looks tailor-made for him, Might Bite can justify 11/8 favouritism to win a third King George crown for the champion trainer.

Death Duty - BET NOW

It is really interesting that Gordon Elliott has opted to put Death Duty's unbeaten record over fences on the line over this two mile one furlong trip in the Grade 1 Racing Post Novices' Chase, where he'll face leading Arkle contender Footpad, representing Willie Mullins. Elliott elected to run Death Duty over three-miles at the Cheltenham Festival last season in the Albert Bartlett, where he disappointed. The Co Meath handler has revealed his regrets on that decision and suggested his charge won't be seen over three-miles again for the foreseeable future. Footpad meanwhile made an impressive start over fences at Navan and comes to Leopardstown with a burgeoning reputation. Death Duty has won both starts over fences already and is 7/4 to make it three from three. The racing odds are in Footpad's favour, but we'll trust Elliott's judgement and back class to get Death Duty up over a trip perhaps shorter than ideal.

Mia's Storm - BET NOW

In the last of our racing tips for Boxing Day, the mare Mia's Storm is fancied to give the boys a beating in the Kauto Star Novices' Chase at Kempton. Alan King's charge was a decent hurdler but she already appears destined for much better things over fences, having scored ready successes at Chepstow and Market Rasen in two outings. Those wins have displayed her versatility, coming as they did on an undulating, left-handed track and then a tight, level, right-handed venue. Mia's Storm has scope for further improvement and she appeals at odds 11/4 in what doesn't look a vintage renewal of this race. Elegant Escape and Black Corton, first and second in a Newbury Grade 2 last month, look the big dangers but Mia's Storm beat the former fairly comfortably at Chepstow in October and has improved since, while the 7lb she gets from her rivals will also count for plenty.
