The 2022 Coral Steward Cup will take place on Saturday, July 30, at the Goodwood Festival. The Coral Stewards Cup is the feature race on the final day of the Glorious Goodwood festival.

The race will help bring the 2022 Goodwood Festival to an end as the five day event has been another smashing success for horse racing enthusiasts. Before the festival comes to an end, however, you can take a punt on one of the biggest flat race events in the world of horse racing.
The Stewards Cup is open to horses aged three and up, and 28 of the top horses in flat racing will take part. With so many horses in the event, it may be difficult to narrow down a horse or two to take a punt on. Luckily, Easyodds can help.

Inver Park is close behind Whenthedealisdone in terms of odds, and plenty of punters will fancy the horse to pick up the win. Let us look at the latest betting odds for the Stewards Cup on Saturday at Goodwood Racecourse.

Fancy an each way bet on one of the horses declared for the Stewards Cup? With 28 runners, bookies are offering up to six places. You can get 1/5 the odds on the horse you bet on to finish up to sixth place.
If you fancy an each way bet of £100 on Whenthedealisdone at 8/1 odds, you could win £1,160 if the horse wins the race. You can still make a profit off of a £100 bet on Whenthedealisdone if the horse comes up to sixth place. You will receive £260 on a £100 each way bet if Whenthedealisdone places. Not only would you cover your stake, but you would make a profit of £60.
Remember that the stake for an each way bet is doubled. Therefore, a £100 bet would actually be a stake of £200. Although your stake doubles, the insurance you receive in case your selection finishes up to sixth place is significant.
Who is the Favourite?
Based on the odds at the moment, the ante post favourite is Whenthedealisdone. Inver Park and Mr Wagyu are also favourites, and just behind Whenthedealisdone in terms of the latest antepost odds.
Whenthedealisdone has made 12 flat starts winning three and coming third on three occasions. On July 9 at the Heritage Handicap, Whenthedealisdone came seventh at a price of 12/1. Whenthedealisdone has not won its last four races.
So, what makes Whenthedealisdone the favourite in the Stewards Cup? The horse was a two time five furlong handicap winner in 2021.
Don't count out current second favourite Mr Wagyu. Trained by John Quinn, Mr Wagyu had a successful race at the Scurry Handicap at The Curragh recently. Mr Wagyu claimed the win with jockey Jason Hart in the saddle. This is a horse on the raise capable of grinding out wins. The horse also won at Epsom Downs in the Jra Tokyo Trophy Handicap in June.
The last two winners of the Stewards Cup are both declared for the race. Neither of these horses should be counted out from claiming victory once more. Last year's winner, Commanche Falls, is currently 20/1 to win on Saturday.
In 2021, Commanche Falls was 10/1 to win the race. A second place finish was Commanche Falls' best result in the last six races. However, the horse has eight career wins from 21 starts.
The 2020 winner, Summerghand, is 11/1 to win this season. Summerghand was 22/1 to win in 2020. Trainer David O'Meara will hope Summerghand can win a 14th race from 67 starts when the horses line up at Goodwood on Saturday. Summerghand's recent form hasn't been good. The horse finished fifth or lower in the last six races.
How many are declared for the race?
The Coral Stewards Cup will feature 28 horses for the final day event. The Stewards Cup is the featured race on the final day of the Goodwood Festival and it will see 28 Class 2 horses compete for a prize purse of £325,000. The winner of the race will earn a cool £128,850.

Coral Stewards Cup Tips
A lot of horse racing insiders are talking up the chances of Regional to win the 2022 Stewards Cup. At odds of 14/1, Regional might be well worth an each way punt. A £100 bet on Regional each way would pay out £1,880 if the horse wins. If Regional places, you stand to win £380, which is a profit of £180.
So, why are insiders high on Regional? The horse has low mileage on it heading into the Stewards Cup. The four year old claimed second at Doncaster earlier this month over five furlongs. Keep in mind, Regional's last six furlong race saw the horse finish sixth.
Popmaster is another horse to keep your eye on. Now at odds of 10/1, Popmaster is receiving a lot of backing. In June, Popmaster finished second as Ascot over six furlongs. The horse's last two races over a distance of six furlongs saw it finish second.
Can Summerghand or Commanche Falls win once more at Goodwood? Summerghand won the race in 2020 while Commanche Falls took the spoils last year. Both horses are at attractive prices heading into the race.
Summerghand's last four races were all over six furlongs with a best finish of fifth. That came at Ascot in June. Commanche Falls finished second at Doncaster in April over six furlongs. The horse has eight wins from 21 starts all time.
Betting odds favourite Whenthedealisdone has suffered some poor form. My betting tips prediction is not to back Whenthedealisdone to win. I'm not sold on the horse to win over six furlongs. My Wagyu looks a strong bet, while Inver Park is also promising.
Inver Park has been scheduled well since being bought in December 2021. The horse has already won the Buckingham Palace which surprised a few onlookers. Trainer George Boughey believes strongly in Inver Park, so don't be surprised if the horse wins on Saturday.
Inver Park is on a streak of three straight wins with victories over six (twice) and seven furlongs (once). I like Inver Park to pick up the win at Goodwood on Saturday.
Currently Inver Park is at the best betting odds of 9/1. A £100 each way bet on Inver Park would land you £1,280 if the horse wins. That is a profit of £1,080. If Inver Park places, you would cover your bet with a slight profit receiving back £280 (an £80 profit). You could buy yourself a new Panama hat for next year's Goodwood Festival.
