This Friday and Saturday sees America stage its foremost race meeting via the Breeders' Cup at Keeneland.

There's a host of Grade 1 races across both nights at the Louisville circuit and we've got three selections for the first day.

Fridays' Breeders' Cup predictions

Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint (Grade 2)

Golden Pal to win and each-way - BET NOW

Wesley Ward won this race a year ago with Four Wheel Drive and can score again with Norfolk Stakes runner-up Golden Pal. That was only his second start and the son of Uncle Mo was grabbed late on by The Lir Jet on the stiff Ascot finish. He made short work of his assignment back Stateside at Saratoga in August and is 2-2 in his homeland.

Ward's handling of precocious speedsters is so well renowned and this date has likely been circled in the calendar since he was pipped at Ascot in June. He's drawn widest but should have the speed to overcome that under last year's winning rider Irad Ortiz Jr.

His stablemate After Five could be a principle threat, while a big showing from Lipizzaner, representing Aidan O'Brien and Ryan Moore, is not ruled out. Golden Pal, however, sets the bar.

Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf (Grade 1)

Cadillac to win and each-way - BET NOW

This race has been won by European raiders six times in the last nine years and the raiding party again hold a strong hand, despite the presence of Mutasaabeq for Todd Pletcher and the home team.

Battleground is a lightly-raced Group 2 winner, off since Glorious Goodwood in August and with scope for better for the O'Brien/Moore team, while Newmarket's Royal Lodge Stakes winner New Mandate is progressive and determined and commands healthy respect under Frankie Dettori for trainer Ralph Beckett.

The one that makes strongest appeal is Jessica Harrington's Cadillac. The Lope De Vega colt has twice looked a potential star in the making when getting fast ground this season, including when swatting Van Gogh aside at Irish Champions Weekend in September.

His Dewhurst run on soft ground was a fairly luckless one and, on this ground, he should prove a different proposition under Shane Foley.

22.15 Keeneland

Breeders' Cup Juvenile (Grade 1)

Jackie's Warrior to win and each-way - BET NOW

He comes here on the back of successive Grade 1 wins and it's hard to see beyond Jackie's Warrior in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile. He scoffed at Reinvestment Risk in the home straight in Belmont's Champagne Stakes last month and a slightly longer trip - around an additional turn - shouldn't inconvenience Steve Asmussen's charge.

The Maclean's Music colt may have too many guns again, given the bludgeoning nature of his performances thus far.

Sittin On Go is 2-2 and overcame a nightmare trip to win the Grade 2 Iroquois Stakes at Churchill Downs last time. He is progressing at a rate of knots and could be an each-way play for a fast finish if this burns up in front.
