Things go up a gear on Friday with six meetings across Britain and Ireland, headlined by a fantastic eight-race card at Newmarket (12.45-16.45) that includes the Group 1 Fillies' Mile.
Friday's horse racing predictions
There's also Grade 2 jumps action at Chepstow (14.10-17.55) alongside York (13.00-16.50, Flat) and Downpatrick (13.45-17.10, jumps) in the afternoon. Later on it's Friday Night Lights at Kempton (15.55-20.15) and Dundalk (17.00-20.30) on the all-weather.
Method to win and each-way - BET NOW
Martyn Meade's Method was well fancied in the Middle Park Stakes here 13 days ago but his unbeaten record went up in smoke, largely owing to a slipped saddle before halfway that deprived Frankie Dettori the opportunity to lay down any challenge.
His earlier Listed successes at Doncaster and Newbury were hugely promising, though, and the Mehmas colt possesses enough pace to take this drop to 5f in his stride.
Oisin Murphy is back on board now with Dettori absent and Method is fancied to rubberstamp the promise of those initial successes by winning this Group 3 ahead of the likes of Acklam Express and fillies Royal Address and Winter Power.
McFabulous to win and each-way - BET NOW
Paul Nicholls has won the Persian War Novices' Hurdle seven times, including two of the last four, and the Ditcheat trainer should take some stopping with 145-rated McFabulous now.
He was turned over in a maiden hurdle at this track on his reappearance last season as odds-on favourite, but that was a first start over jumps and there were plenty of signs of inexperience.
He improved as the term went on over timber and especially once racing beyond two miles. He landed a Market Rasen novice in February and then easily took a Grade 3 Kempton handicap (2m5f, good to soft) in March in what amounted to a steering job for Harry Cobden.
Given Nicholls' record in the race, we can expect McFabulous to be ready for this and the course bumper winner should prove hard to beat.
Kipps to win and each-way - BET NOW
There's a plethora of horses coming into this Old Rowley Cup Handicap in winning form and the likes of Indigo Lake, Doubling Dice, Surrey Pride and Shandoz are very much respected.
The last-named had almost five lengths to spare over Kipps (third) at Ascot (1m4f, good) when they met last month. Shandoz was strong in the finish and should go well, but Hughie Morrison's charge is 7lb better off today and surely must bag a win soon.
The War Command colt snatched defeat from the jaws of victory at Haydock (1m2f, good to soft) in June on his seasonal comeback before following the smart Hukum at Royal Ascot (1m4f, good) soon after.
He's been well-fancied in all three starts since at 1m2f-1m6f and has run well without putting it all together. The various headgear that has been tried is now left off and this three-year-old is a very fair price if he puts the jigsaw together back down in distance.
