The 2021 Glorious Goodwood Festival runs from Tuesday July 27 through until Saturday July 31 and will feature five days of stunning action on the Sussex Downs. Here's our look head to some of the potential star performers.

Goodwood Cup Antepost Tips

Stradivarius to win - BET NOW

Stradivarius has proved impenetrable thus far in the Goodwood Cup and he'll bid to further cement his status in these parts by winning the race for the fifth year in a row. He's an out and out stayer of the highest quality and while the winning margin in four previous instalments doesn't even tally four lengths, it would be hard to suggest he's ever looked like getting beat in this race.

Things didn't go his way in the Ascot Gold Cup last month and, no doubt, Frankie Dettori will wish he had his time over in that race. The Italian got caught in a bad spot and they lost their chance a fair way from home. With impressive Ascot scorer Subjectivist now sidelined, the rematch is off and that looks to have paved the way for Stradivarius to retain this crown.

Sussex Stakes Antepost Tips

Poetic Flare to win - BET NOW

Not for the first time in recent years, the Sussex Stakes was about to be billed as a 'Duel on the Downs' following the Royal Ascot successes of Palace Pier and Poetic Flare in the Queen Anne and St James's Palace Stakes respectively.

Sadly, the news broke a week out from Glorious Goodwood that Europe's leading miler Palace Pier met with a setback and will instead be aimed at a Group 1 in France next month by Team Gosden.

This race undoubtedly lost some of its lustre in that moment but Jim Bolger won't be complaining if his 2000 Guineas winner secures a third Group 1 win of the season. He's had a busy time already but that didn't stop Poetic Flare from dismantling his rivals at Ascot. Rattling fast ground will be right up his street and he should dazzle on the Downs.

Nassau Stakes Antepost Tips

Joan Of Arc to win - BET NOW

Aidan O'Brien has an embarrassment of riches when it comes to his fillies. The likes of Love, Snowfall and Santa Barbara would be major forces - favourites in all probability - but they seem set to be aiming at differing targets in and around this race instead.

The James Fanshawe-trained Audarya was second to Love at Royal Ascot, almost threatening to take advantage of any cobwebs on the returning star, and she's a player as such, but another Ballydoyle filly could foil her and others now - Joan Of Arc.

The 3YO daughter of Galileo is progressing fast since winning a Curragh maiden over 7f in March on her second start. After a Group 3 mile win at Leopardstown in May, she was inched out in the Irish 1000 Guineas at the Curragh by her stablemate Empress Josephine, but she has since gone and bagged a Group 1 in France, via the Prix De Diane over 1m2½f at Chantilly in June. On that evidence this test could be ideal for her.

Goodwood Long Shot Tips

Golden Mile Handicap - Kynren to win - BET NOW

A lot of Kynren's form in recent seasons has come on softer ground and David Barron's charge took on some top-notch handicaps last year at the likes of Ayr, York Ascot and Doncaster - running some notably good races in defeat.

After a couple of sound runs early this season, he returned to winning ways at York (1m, good) in May, getting late on to score ahead of Brunch. That race has thrown up a good chunk of subsequent winners and he's now rated 102 again. He's got an entry in the Golden Mile and could be one to go well in this sort of contest at a decent price.
