Friday is the penultimate day of action at Glorious Goodwood and the feature contest is the King George Qatar Stakes over the flying five furlongs.

Racing at Goodwood is from 13:50-17:20 (seven races) and we've picked out our best bets on Friday's card.

Baaeed to win and each-way - BET NOW

This son of Sea The Stars looks very exciting for the William Haggas stable having made it a perfect 3-3 with his Listed win at Newmarket (1m, good to firm) back towards the start of this month.

That he was odds-on for that assignment spoke volumes and he dismissed useful duo Maximal and One Ruler with disdain.

The likes of El Drama and Khartoum are decent in their own right but Baaeed is already rated 5lb and more clear of anything he meets here and it's improbable we've seen his best stuff yet.

He holds the aces in this Group 3 and will be Goodwood Day Four NAP of the Day for many punters.

Variyann to win and each-way - BET NOW

Variyann joined Martyn Meade from the Archie Watson team not long after the turn of the year and he almost made the perfect start for new connections when he returned from a 152-day layoff with a close second at Salisbury (1m, soft) in late June.

That was his latest excellent effort in a 12-month spell and the form was done no harm when fourth-home Migration won the Chesterfield here on Tuesday afternoon in great style.

Variyann has only gone up 3lb and meets the winner Johan once again today with a definite each-way squeak under Andrea Atzeni.

Battaash to win - BET NOW

We didn't get to see Stradivarius bid for five-in-a-row in the Goodwood Cup on Tuesday but that's the aim for blistering Battaash in the King George Qatar Stakes now.

He's been very good in this contest, winning with lots in hand in three of his four wins and knuckling down to see off Houtzen's challenge in 2019.

The sheer breakneck pace that was applied early on in the King's Stand at Royal Ascot surely didn't do him any favours as he raced up with Winter Power, Liberty Beach and Maven et al that day.

All things being equal, he probably did well to win finish a close fourth, just fading late on. Jim Crowley certainly felt Battaash would be better for the run and it's hard to imagine he won't win a fifth King George in that case.

He deserves to be included in our Goodwood Day Four Prediction.

Mogul to win and each-way - BET NOW

Euchen Glen continues to thrive and has won Group 3/Listed contests at Sandown this season over 1m2f. His only experience here came as a 150/1 shot in the Goodwood Cup last summer when he wasn't disgraced finishing 6½-lengths behind Stradivarius.

This is a deeper race however and Fox Tal, second last time at Sandown, is the outsider. The 4YO Mogul can make the most of a drop in class here.

He's had three runs in Group 1 races since winning at Sha Tin in December, the best of those coming in the Prix Ganay at Longchamp (1m2½f, good) in May.

Epsom in the Coronation Cup once more didn't suit - underperformed the Derby last year too - and easing into Group 3 company can pay off for Aidan O'Brien's colt as he gets 3lb from Euchen Glen.

Goodwood Day Four Prediction

1. Baaeed to win and each-way - BET NOW
2. Variyann to win and each-way - BET NOW
3. Battaash to win and each-way - BET NOW
4. Mogul to win and each-way - BET NOW
