With doubts surrounding the Saturday National Hunt meetings, Paul Jacobs has pushed out the boat with a full rundown of his views for the all-weather card at Lingfield Park. If the other meetings get the green light he will add his views on the big betting races on Saturday morning.

Lingfield Park Tips

12.10 – Lingfield – This looks a tightl contest and I have say fair seller for the track and the chance of probable favourite Prime Exhibit hinges on whether there is enough pace for the old boy in the field. It could be that Nubar Boy will continue to employ the new tactics that worked so well here last time out in which case he would be a big danger from the front. But the nod goes to GAELIC SILVER, quite flexible from a tactical point of view and taking a drop in class here.

12.40 – Lingfield – Sebs Sensei has had plenty of chances in similar races but has looked very one paced in most of his contests and again last time when behind Excellent Royale over seven furlongs here last time out. The step up to a mile should help, but I much prefer the claims of ZAMRA after an eye catching run behind Secret Pursuit last time out. His biggest danger is probably Glace from the Mark Johnston yard.

1.10 – Lingfield – There are some nicely bred individuals in this field and any market support for Passing Star or the Teofilo colt Mr Bossy Boots would have to be taken into account. But this looks a good opening for CLEAR SPELL following a good run behind Secret Pursuit and a winning run from Zamra in the 2.40 would certainly boost his winning chance here.

1.45 – LingfieldHAADEETH has been knocking on the door of late and this looks his best chance of securing the gold medal to date in the past couple of months. The selection just failed to catch Colourbearer last time out at Wolverhampton when not given the best of rides in my book, but should be hard to beat here off a handicap mark of just 65 with Adam Kirby in the plate.

If he does run below expectations then the likes of Compton Prince and Pharoh Jake are preferred to the in-form, but hardly well weighted Layla’s Hero.

2.20 – Lingfield – A mark of 65 may still prove beyond top weight The Dancing Lord even though he is dropped to arguably his best trip and this is best left to RESONARE. The lightly raced Stuart Williams’ trained inmate got going all too late last time out, but with a stronger pace to tow him through this contest I expect the five-year-old to prove way too strong for the likes of Dark Lane (disappointing favourite last time out) and Your Gifted.

4.05 – Lingfield -  More quantity than quality for this concluding seven furlong affair and a chance is taken on FOIE GRAS returning to winning form after being unable to complete the hat-trick last time out. I don’t think it was his new mark which stopped the selection, but more the way the race was run and a clear passage through off a generous pace could see him prove hard to beat.

Of his rivals, Perfect Pastime and Bertie Blu boy are closely matched on their run over course and distance last time out with the latter just preferred, while Jackie Love is becoming seriously well handicapped and may be worth a saver if shortening up significantly in the market place.
