There’s no fewer than eight meetings on Friday and we have selections and analysis from three of the races on the Flat.

20:00 Hamilton

Guardia Svizzera to Win and Each Way @ 5/4 - BET NOW

There’s plenty to like about the profile of Guardia Svizzera and the gelding had looked like a useful prospect when winning his maiden for John Oxx.

Given an official rating of 82 off that performance, it’s fair to say his next two starts didn’t work out when well beaten and it’s taken his new handler a little while to find the key to him but he seems to be improving with each starts at present.

After placed efforts at both Catterick and Thirsk, the gelding could hardly have been more impressive when bolting up over course and distance by four and a half lengths two starts back.

The four-year-old didn’t need to improve to get his head back in front at Catterick last time under a penalty and while he must concede weight to all his rivals here, he would still appear to be on a lenient handicap mark.

Roger Fell has been in good form with his sprinters this campaign with the likes of Burnt Sugar winning some big handicaps and Guardia Svizzera is taken to justify favouritism in a winnable contest.

Burmese Blazer would appear to be the main danger to the selection in the contest.

The gelding is another arriving on the back of a victory and he won a race at Musselburgh by one and a half lengths but a six pound penalty against a progressive rival may prove enough to halt his progress on this occasion.

15:50 Sandown

Wafy to Win and Each Way @ 4/1 - BET NOW

The Class 3 Handicap looks like the best of the action on the card at Sandown on Friday afternoon and the son of Dubawi, Wafy, looks like a fascinating candidate.

He found Group 3 company too tough here back in April when finishing sixth of seven, but he put in a much improved effort when third of 15 at Doncaster back in June.

Connections are clearly taking their time with the unexposed colt but his sole win in five starts came at this course and he would appear to be on a nice mark on his handicap debut here. It would be no surprise if he was shorter than his early price at post time Friday.

16:45 Thirsk

Wentworth Falls to Win and Each Way @13/2 - BET NOW

Wentworth Falls may have been a beaten favourite last time out but he looks capable of gaining compensation at Thirsk.

The gelding was only narrowly denied by a progressive sort at Nottingham last time and he was game in defeat, only beaten by a short head in a photograph.

The six-year-old should prove competitive off the same mark here and he represents each-way value at a price of 13/2.
