There are eight race meetings across Britain and Ireland this Saturday afternoon and evening on a typically busy summer's day of action.

Haydock 4.00

Dutch Connection to Win and Each Way @ 3/1 - BET NOW

Charlie Hills' charge looks sure to run a big race here after a highly promising effort on his seasonal bow at Newbury. That effort came in the Lockinge, no less, and was over the mile trip that still remains a questionable one for him.

Dutch Connection travelled stylishly through that race and was just nudged out of the frame by Lancaster Bomber in finishing fourth, having typically found things toughest in the final furlong of the eight.

He is clearly best suited over this seven-furlong trip and represents fair value in the racing betting to build on that reappearance and give Godolphin a second Saturday afternoon in the limelight following Masar's Derby glory.

In ordinary circumstances James Doyle's mount would be conceding a Group 3 winners penalty to his rivals here having claimed the Supreme Stakes at Goodwood last summer but, by quirk of the calendar, that was before the cut-off and he gets to race from level.

Roger Varian's lightly-raced colt Emmaus ranks as one to be feared but given his best form has come with cut in the ground, he will have to prove himself on a faster surface and likely may prove best in the long run over a mile in any case.

Curragh 3.55

Mustajeer to Win and Each Way @ 6/4 - BET NOW

British import Mustajeer has scaled new heights in just three starts since arriving into Ger Lyons' yard.

He was a good winner of a Naas handicap on his first back in October over this trip before running well at the same C&D in a Listed event.

Lyons has the winter to get to know his new recruit a bit better and his first start of 2018 was a step up on anything he has achieved before, as he came home just two lengths back on Cliffs Of Moher in the Group 2 Mooresbridge Stakes at Naas.

He drops back into Listed class now and the five-year-old will surely take the beating with a repeat of that effort in the hands of champion jockey Colin Keane. Mustajeer is short enough in the racing odds here but his reappearance effort merits the price and she should take some holding.

Lingfield 8.20

Mossy's Lodge to Win and Each Way @ 8/1 - BET NOW

Anthony Carson's mare has only made three starts on turf up until now and could still have more to give on this surface, given she's competed from much higher marks on the AW in the past.

She was a winner at Chelmsford in February under William Carson and they can go well here. The partnership went well last month at Yarmouth when finding only one too strong over this trip and Mossy's Lodge is given another chance back on turf in today's racing tips.

She has a decent draw here with the likes of Baby Gal and Cat Royale nearby and likely to be in the firing ling along with her.
