Four meetings get our attention on Sunday afternoon, with Salisbury and Doncaster on the Flat in Britain alongside Cork in Ireland, while there's also action over the jumps at Downpatrick in Ireland.

3.25 Salisbury

Gumriyah to Win and Each Way F/C @ 6/4 - BET NOW

This Shamardal filly cost connections a cool 870,000 guineas as a yearling and is a half-sister to top-class multiple Group 1 winner Legatissimo. She ran just twice last year as a two-year-old and appeared to come on quite nicely from what was an ordinary debut at Newmarket, taking third in a maiden at Doncaster next time out. She should again have taken plenty for that experience and now returns at three with plenty of potential for better things to come in the months ahead.

John Gosden steps her up in distance for this return and the Clarehaven handler has his string in super order going into Royal Ascot this week, boasting a 29 per cent strike rate over the previous fortnight 28 runners. Gumriyah should put her experience to good use in a field where the newcomers may be the dangers.

3.50 Cork

Jaega to Win and Each Way F/C @ 7/2 - BET NOW

Dermot Weld's Fastnet Rock filly could be up to the task of spoiling the party for Aidan O'Brien, who fires three of the nine runners at this Group 3 Munster Oaks prize. Jaega won her maiden on debut at Leopardstown in April in a most straightforward fashion, going on to finish an excellent second behind Bye Bye Baby (also from Ballydoyle) in the Blue Wind Stakes at the Curragh in this grade on just her second outing.

The form of that run has worked out nicely, with the winner hitting the frame in the Oaks at Epsom and a Listed winner already emerging from the beat fillies in behind. While O'Brien aims three at this prize, and all are respected, the betting may show Willie McCreery's Bloomfield as the main threat to Jaega. She's a C&D winner this season already and doubled her tally in that grade since at Gowran Park.  Both Bloomfield and Jaega must prove their credentials on this firmer ground and the notion is that the Rosewell House filly will have more to offer.

5.25 Salisbury

Handytalk to Win and Each Way F/C @ 6/1 - BET NOW

The concluding handicap on the Salisbury card can go the way of Rod Millman's Handytalk, with confidence set to grow as long as the rain stays away and the ground is good to firm or better. He was a winner over similar trip on firm ground at Bath last summer, from a 7lb lower mark, and has shown himself to be in decent order already this term. He ran a nice race at Bath on his reappearance before building appreciably on that back there since, finishing 3/4L third, having just wilted in the closing stages.

He runs off the same mark here but Jason Watson claims 5lb on his back and that could make all the difference. The biggest danger could be former C&D winner Our Lord, who enjoyed an excellent year in 2017 and made a pleasing reappearance at Bath. Recent Goodwood winner Maygold may not want firm ground, so assuming we get that Handytalk looks the value in the racing betting for this Salisbury finale.
